Some of the names will change, but I'll say Judai, Ryo, Sho, Cronos and possible Jun or Daichi will keep their Japanese names.

If they keep those names, it'll prove that they actually give a care about us. So far the only thing they've acknowledged is that we wanted the uncut DVDs, and now even those are coming out at snail's pace.

I'm half-expecting them to keep only Judai's name. In the YGO: DM series, the only character whose name escaped the edittors was Yugi's. Even that one was probably for marketing reasons.

I doubt that they're gonna keep all the names the same. Someone's gonna become a 'Mortimer' or Johnny or something....

Technically they already have done that. Ryo IS this series Kaiba and the only real difference is that he has a better relationship with Sho

Anyway, seeing that the names are up now.

I'm going to go ahead and assume that GX will be on 4kids.TV and not on KidsWB.

I think that "Winged Kuriboh" makes more sense to little kids as opposed to "Hane Kuriboh".

I doubt KidsWB will let Yugioh go to 4Kids TV. Just because 4kids dubs YGO doesnt mean it will go on the channel that has its morning block named after the company they get all of their programming from. No one really watchs 4kids TV anyways. It would just be a waste.

Not really. He uses three machines not dragons, they fuse but the strategy isn't the same at all. Plus he has a younger brother which isn't the same relationship as Kaiba and Mokuba, and he also isn't an arrogant person like Kaiba was.

They made sense out of Hane-Hane and Hade-Hane in the tcg.

I do watch it but I do agree that it is unlikely that the show will be on 4kids TV because Kids WB has the existing fanbase. I don't think such a move would make sense.

Well, "Tenjoin" almost has to stay the same because of Fubuki's autograph ("10JOIN"). But "Asuka" sounds too much like "Oscar", so that will have to go.
And no American voice actor can pronounce "Ryou", so that's also out.

I don't think they did, rather people didn't know what it meant, but that's just my opinion. I just doubt little kids bothered to research the translation.
