Default Yugioh January 2014 Banlist - Discuss the New Top Tier Decks!

http://www.yugioh-card.com/en/limited/

Discuss what will the new Top Tier decks will be for our upcoming format! Dragons are basically dead, but Tenki at 3 and other changes will cause new decks to rise. You can discuss the usual what got hit and what didnt got hit, but for the sake of tournament level players, please make sure you stay on topic and discuss whats good to run for the format and whats bad this format. Below is a January Top Tiers 2014 Post-LVAL List ,open for discussion so discuss what decks will be the new rising tier #1's along with bad matchups certain new decks, both old and new, have against the current top tiers. Discuss!

Flaming/Bashing
No Bashing of other people on the board. Everyone is capable of debating a stance on a topic without attacking people or saying they suck. Flaming or bashing an individual or group with derogatory comments is strictly prohibited. As well, Moderator/Administrator bashing will not be tolerated. U can settle ur troll posts via on **************/YGOPro, here is definitely not the place. Lets try and stay on topic guys.

Yugioh Top Tiers Post-LVAL 2014 Format

Tier 1 (Top Tier #1 Decks to Expect)

Constellar (1 YCS Win, too many tops everywhere)
Karakuri/Karakuri Geargia (2 YCS Wins)

Blackwing (YCS 4th/32nd)
Agents (3x Kristyia,1 regional top 2nd place, Chaos Agents maybe, and 1 World Championship win)
Lightsworns (1 YCS top i think, new support + zombiesworns = better)
Gravekeeper (new support + grave decks top tier = bumps up higher)
Chaos Dragons (YCS Philadelphia, 1st place regional Top, Banlist helped out a bit)
Shinra/Sylvian (Winning in OCG format, +2 lonefire is broken)

Tier 1.5 (Almost Tier 1 decks, trying to make it there, but they are up there. Sometimes able to beat Tier 1 decks. )

Infernity (5th,8th) (Won YCS Chicago, other YCS tops)
Inzektor (5th,8th) (Won 1 YCS, and World Championship 2012)
Mermail (2nd Place YCS, lots of YCS wins be4) (-2x Tidal was a huge loss)

Dark World (random dark horse tops)
Noble Knights (I don't know much bout this deck, help me put in right tier spot..?
Firekings (1x Regional Top, 5th 8th Place Missouri)
Madolche (some YCS and regional tops)
*---------------------------------------------------*
T.G. Stun (1 YCS Win, Nationals Win, 1 other top i forgot if regional or YCS)
Barrier Statue Anti Meta (1 YCS top i think)
Traptrix Anti Meta (1 other top i forgot if regional or YCS)
Chain Beat (Some YCS tops, 2 regional tops)

Zombies (brionac still banned, until a top comes, this guy is stayin here)
(Whatever else is Tier 2, lemme know)

Note: "Recently there was an online tournament in which some skilled players participated under the new format and the top 4 was Spellbooks, Geargia Karakuri, Fire Fists, and Fire Kings."

If im missing any other decks, or YCS Wins Tops/Regional Wins/Tops let me know. The more information we as a playerbase get, the better of course. Im always updating this OP so im online most of the time. eat+sleep+yugioh = the life

Dam well firefist obviously are staying up dragons are dead waters still alive fir some dumb reason then you got nobles, keepers and geargia. Zombies and twilight are back too, and evil and constellars. I'd say top thre are water zombies and firefist

I agree with all the above tbh except Nobles they still need some more work. Bujin got a boost from it too with Tenki and they seem to just get more and more decent support. Chronomaly also seem like they could do something when the new cards are released to TCG and I don't feel Prophecy are to be forgotten either they still have good cards and most only ran 2 fate so they only lose 1. Generally the death of dragons will change it up for all decks though so we could see vastly improved performances from all sorts of decks that have topped some events this format!

Think Harpie, firefist, and geargia be tier 1. Zombies and bujins could be up there, but gravekeepers should keeper those 2 in check

For a short moment, Fire Fist and Mermails will reclaim their positions as Tier Decks until the new format has structured itself.

Zombiesworns now have a major chance of becoming Meta again.
Evilswarms will probably be less apparent while Constellars become more.
Bujins, it will probably depend on which Variant is considered the best.
Geargias, once again, it depends which Variant will be the best to use.
Gravekeepers will probably be the "Anti Meta" Meta Deck.
Infernities and Dark Worlds will once again see more play, for the time being.
Noble Knights..........I'm not gonna hold my breath.

Mermails and 6-Axis Zombies high tier 1 for the start, then as everything will settle other archtypes will get their shot at the throne as in : Bujins, Stellars, Infernities, Fire-Fists, DRAGONS, Agents etc.

Zombies I agree with until Raiden hits the TCG but Fire Fists are still an amazing deck, were simply overshadowed by Dragons.

True but that doesn't mean that it will be good enough to make them tier. Or good at all for that matter so we will have to see! However for the one new card which we have some minimal info on the artwork looks good. So hopefully he will help as they are an archetype I'd like to see doing well!

Just cannot agree, mermail, constellar, bujins, prophecy, harpies, geargia are all better decks. Fire Fist to a well-timed MST spells game. No deck should be losing to MST. Oh and Fire Fist loses tot he side hard and just cannot consistently win games 1 like these decks can.

Divine wind creates consistency by directly special summoning from the deck, making one card chidori/zerofyne.

I suppose I'll have to look for another way to make the deck better...

Not thinking this will be tier one, but just relevant decks. List!

Prophecy (They were NOT hit very hard at all)
Fire Fist (they're better than last format)
Mermail (just one Tidal but not too badly hurt)
Bujin (looks solid, but not particularly broken)
Noble knight (depending on what we get in legacy of the valiant)
Constellar (another good rank 4 deck, completely unlimited now)
Geargia variants (most consistent OTK deck legal today, and has many options outside of OTKs.)
Infernity (because they remain unchanged)
Zombies (lol maybe)

only with dancer

removing the clunky and unnecessary divine winds will be your first step.

that's not consistency.

even if divine wouldn't have been hit it wouldn't been necessary next format.

only reason i ran divine is to keep up with dragons.
