Default Mythic Dragon Rulers

Hey All!

Curious about how people will be changing dragons after SHSP release. Seems like mythic dragons add an easy rank 8 engine to the deck, yet if seen some people who are hesitant to it. In OCG-land I know they mostly play 1 of each, but I think that might be because the deck is more Synchro based over there with Trish (seeing as a lot of them run x3 Scapegoat).

Anyways, some of my friends have sworn by 3x Mythics and 2x Felgrand, saying the engine is really good. Anyways I'm curious to see what people are thinking.

Also curious on opinions of Komodo Dragon vs. Trigon.

Nah, that's wayyy too much.

2/2 or 1/1 is the best engine.

I'm testing around with it constantly.

If you run with 2/2 then how many Felgrand would you run? Just the one?

Here's what I've got after some testing:

Gorz has been dead, probably gonna take it out.

Crow is an amazing card, esp. against the mirror.

Trap Stun because it bypasses Sixth Sense/RFTDD in the mirror match anddd it gets by all backrow, not just 1 like MST. I forgot to add Vanity to the side but in my actual build I run 2 Vanity. This is just something I'm testing.

It's a decent tech to say the least when you're up against mirror matches all day long.

Yeah, pretty much. xD

Either dragon mirror matches, or you're up against backrow decks.

Trap Stun is too good.

Felgrand is tooooooooo Awesome it a 2800 Walking Effect Veiler that protect your monster from card effects what more can yo ask for. I, Personally Using a Turbo Build w/ Blue Eyes White Dragon as Draw power. @xTenraix Have you tried Number 46: Draggluon the Ethereal Dragon

In OCG, yeah they are more focused on the Synchros since Trishula is back and also it's easier to go into Synchro combos first and then go into the Xyzs. Although they do vary on the Mythic Dragons a lot, some will run the 1:1 Ratio, some will run the 1:2 (which is 1 Water Dragon & 2 Wood Dragon), and some will run the 2:2 Ratio, either one works equally the same and are never useless in the deck.

If you plan on going for a 2:2 Ratio, then the only Rank 8 Xyz Monsters you need to play are Felgrand the Divine Dragon Knight & Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis or Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon. Heliopolis is awesome in Mythic Rulers for being a decent field clearer and Tachyon Dragon kills Catastor, Maiden, etc. Number 46: Draggluon is ok, but it needs to be the only monster on your field to use its effects so it's basically useless in the long run.

Don't like the card.
