Default Don't Hate, Obliterate! The Official Exodia FTK Guide

Welcome one and all to the exciting life of Exodia! By merely draw all five pieces of Exodia, you win the Duel. Simple, isn't it? Oh, but it gets much more complicated. How do you get all five pieces in your hand? How can you consistently draw cards or stall for time? Claim victory by Exodia the Forbidden One today!

Main Thread Rule
No Flaming, Trading, and/or bashing.

The Basics

REQUIREMENTS
- Forty Card Deck maximum -
- The Five Pieces of Exodia -
- Three Upstart Goblin -
- Uno One Day of Peace -
- One Pot of Duality -

Pros/Cons of an Exodia deck
Pros
-Can’t negate it’s activation (Victory Condition)
-Win in between a Chain

Cons
-Susceptible to Burn Decks
-Susceptible to hand/deck depletion decks
-If you cant FTK/OTK in 2-3 Turns then chances are, you will lose
-If a piece(s) is removed from play, usually a game loss

For Appropriate Exodia. Other than that, it’s a gamble.

Dark World Dealings
Normal Spell
Each player draws 1 card. Then each player discards 1 card.
Draw card. Can be a +0. Draw first, which is nice. Thunder Dragon or Broww combos.

Quote:
Golden Bamboo Sword
Normal Spell
Activate only if you control a "Bamboo Sword" Equip Spell Card. Draw 2 cards.
+1 for Library Exodia or any variants running Broken Bamboo Sword.

Quote:
Hand Destruction
Quick-Play Spell
Each player sends 2 cards from their hand to the Graveyard and draws 2 cards.
Helps to draw pieces or mill the deck down in size. Combos well with Thunder Dragon for a +0, card advantage wise.

Quote:
Into The Void
Normal Spell
Activate only if you have 3 or more cards in your hand. Draw 1 card. During the End Phase of this turn, discard all the cards in your hand.
It’s a good and bad card. Works to it’s fullest potential in Dragon Exodia FTK or in Library Exodia.

Quote:
Magical Mallet
Normal Spell
Add any number of cards from your hand to the Deck and shuffle it. Then draw the same number of cards you added to the Deck.
Good since you can choose your targets. Recycle a bad hand.

Quote:
Reload
Quick-Play Spell
Add all the cards in your hand to your Deck and shuffle it. Then draw the same number of cards that you added to your Deck.
Recycle your whole hand. Still decent.

Quote:
Magical Citadel of Endymion
Field Spell
Each time a Spell Card is activated, place 1 Spell Counter on this card. When a card with a Spell Counter(s) is destroyed, place its Spell Counters on this card. Once per turn, if you would activate a card's effect by removing a Spell Counter(s) from cards you control, you can remove Spell Counters from this card instead. If this card would be destroyed, you can remove 1 Spell Counter from this card instead.
Library Exodia. Can get a free draw out of it.

Library Exodia. Adds counters and searches for another. Good stuff.

One Day of Peace
Normal Spell
Both players draw one card. Until your opponent's next End Phase, all damage either player takes becomes 0.
Best Ever, but limited

Quote:
Toon Table of Contents
Normal Spell
Add 1 card from your Deck to your hand that includes "Toon" in its card name, or is named "Manga Ryu-Ran".
Splashable space holders. At the end you could get Blue Eyes Toon Dragon, Toon World, or Toon Canon Soldier. Combined with Upstart Goblin, you basically make the deck thirty three cards to deal with.

Trade-In
Normal Spell
Discard 1 Level 8 monster. Draw 2 cards.
For decks running LV8 monsters such as Dragon or Destiny Heroes.

Quote:
Upstart Goblin
Normal Spell Card
Draw 1 card from your Deck. Increase your opponent's Life Points by 1000 Life Points.
Basically, this card makes a forty card deck into a thirty seven card deck.
The smaller the deck the better the chances at drawing Exodia pieces.

yes, the sample decklist, it is what I personally use IF I use Exodia FTK, usually I play Magical Explosion FTK.

Hey Exodia fans! With all the draw power, new decks, and unlimited Malicious, I decided the time was right to pull my Exodia pieces and make the actual deck.

The main deck feels pretty competent, but I'm a bit concerned about the Side Deck and Extra Deck. I think my biggest concern is losing my Exodia head to the grave, of which I don't currently have a way to recover it outside of a sided Exodius, the Ultimate Forbidden Lord. Any suggestions or recommendations?

Is there any consistent Exodia FTK? If you cant hold off with Scarerows etc you'll be OTKed if you don't win on the first turn. Of all the different Exodia variants I've played I've found Library to be the only one consistent enough to FTK and that depends on them having no response

The thing is, you don't always need to ftk. If you take 5000-6000 damage within the first few turns, you will still survive (unless of course your facing karakuri/infernity/heratic). Taking 6000ish damage also makes Hope for Escape REALY dirty especily if you can get a Gift Card.

This is the deck I run. RML, with Summoner Monk engine, and one Double Summon. In a good few of the games, I end up FTKing with two RMLs on the field instead of one. I can discard up to three exodia pieces and still recover them, though I generally use the phoenix feather spell card to re-cycle the Golden Bamboo Sword.

I have FTK'd a stupid number of times; the deck seems to be the most consistent variant I have tested over the years and I love it with all my heart.

Very rarely does the hand clog and if it does it's because it's one of those unlucky "draw 3-4 exodia pieces off of every draw cycle" games that we all get. There's no worrying about getting the right cards of incompetance [xP] or trade in with the right stone or dragon, it's purely draw. Didn't draw RML? Summoner Monk into it. Put Bound Wand on a Summoner Monk or second RML and burn the monster near the end if you're out of draws. Makes the most of a monster in the situation where the FTK normally wouldn't work and the RML would get destroyed. Now you draw extra from it.

This was against an AI but when practising against a deck with Exodia, who cares? the opposing deck was sure to run 3 Veilers and other hand traps just in case, for the chance that RML got negated [the one weakness of the deck], but hey, with Double Summon into another RML/Summoner into Veiler, it's not hard to get back on track. Heck, I might even slide some utopias in just in case :P
