Default Felgrand vs Metal Reflect Slime.

Can I use Felgrand the Divine Dragon Knight's effect on Metal Reflect Slime? And if so, will it Return to the spell/trap card zone?

Thanks. Sorry if there has been a recent thread that I've missed or whatnot.

Xyz!Felgrand's effect can be used on Metal Reflect Slime as it is being treated as a monster card. And it is still treated as a monster. The only way to make a Trap Monster return to the Spell/Trap Zone without destroying it is by negating the Trap Monster's Trap effects. Skill Drain and the like do not make them return to the backrow.

Ok then, thanks. Sad it can't work like that. Can I ask why it doesn't work?

If Felgrand is anything like Alector, it'll Return to the Spell/Trap Card Zone and remain there.

Link to a ruling? Doesn't seem like it would go down that way and I can't find any rulings online.

I thought Felgrand only negated monster effects, and not any card effect.

OH LOOK AN SHSP CARD.

Shinryuukishi Felgrant:
Quote:
targeted Monster's effects

What about flipping it face-down with an effect?

a trap monster that flipped face down became a set trap card again.

Metal Reflect Slime gets set back to the backrow, and can't be activated for the rest of that turn.
