Default Infernity and Beyond: Infernity Control (XYZ)

So as some of you may know, I've been searching for a third deck to run for quite sometime in order to have three different go-to-strategies I can pick from, making my matches against people who know me a little less "predictable." lol On one hand my OniDAD deck is aggro in every sense of the word, looping a field full of rank 4's in a moments notice, on the other, BMVN seeks to control the game, locking down opponent's with it's heavy back row and negation. In my search, it would seem I've found the middle ground of both styles in Infernity (not to mention I'll save a **** load on extra deck costs xD).

Basically, it is a rank 4 infernity deck with Crimson Blader access. The most notable difference is a good amount of stall cards. These cards allow me to play without having to set an abundance of traps until I am ready to go off. This means I'm saved from Heavy until I'm ready for it, and I can use them to stall until my hand is where I need it to be.

Didn't know of it until you mentioned it. lol I thought it had already been pretty standard for rank 4 builds to use the new archfiend cards. Isn't that what actually made them viable? In either case, no this isn't one of my original ideas. Was inspired from a a war duel where the guy used them against me but poorly.

Same here. Not an Infernity expert, but I saw Trick, and the little voice in my head said "Use it!"

I started teching in 2x copies of Falling Down. Its actually pretty good and consistent in builds like this.

Transtarn makes it very good.

:-O! GENIUS!!!!! I'm on it xD! Gonna definitely have to fit those in.

@friday, I ******* love Escape Device. It's such a good card for when your fields clog or just general removal using your vanilla xyz. Especially when you use it to dodge veiler on your lavalval chains, things like that. It's just really good. Trans is kind of the same way, where it let's me recycle the engine and this format it's a pretty good tech since it shuts down a lot of top deck's plays.

OAN, AoT episode 9 is out? Damn, this thread is already turning out amazing lol.

Just finished it, I'm like soooo close to just reading the manga. That **** is so raw.

falling down is good, i tested it alot. despite its uses i don't think it's necessary, it's more of a preference thing. trick is rly gd, all those ppl who say it isnt just don't know how to use it. i'm glad to see you're enjoying such a fun and amazing archetype.

Maybe as a side deck tech? I want to try it because there are times I can't get over my opponent's monster as conveniently as I would like to.

Allure is pretty bad here.

I've tried out Falling Down before in my variant. Not that great, especially since the deck needs to be on the ball this format and not off the road testing some gimmick. Mind Control is better.

So far Allure has helped me get rid of excess monsters I'd have in my hand, which is the only scenario I have a hard time dealing with/opening. Is there a reason it's bad (serious question lol)?

OAN, I'm so ******* glad that between BMVN and OniDAD I already have this extra deck IRL. Everything else costs like less than $40, and hopefully the rarity of the archfiend cards I need won't be bumped. I'm hoping the Buijin stuff and Utopia Ray **** takes up the high rarity slots. lol

Additional Comment:

So with Palace/Transturn, I'm really considering teching a Phantom of Chaos. The extra level 4 fiend with his effect can be pretty crazy in some of the combos this deck enables. Thoughts?

Trick Archfiend -> Transtarn -> Infernity Archfiend. You get your search, and I'm not sure, but I think you also get Archfiend's effect. Or, you can go for Palace as well.
Tour Guide -> Trick Archfiend -> Any Rank 3, detach -> Search.

Allure is actually good if you can make Leviair. You can draw to, and special the banished monster.

Allure is only good for the Leviair plays, otherwise it can be hard to make it live without you wasting something. It doesn't even trigger Archfiend which is sad, and the low monster count hampers its usefulness. If you want draw power add something else. I run 2 PoD for example for my consistent hands.

And you do not get Trick's search.

And Transmigration is pretty meh as well. I's side it at best.

And Escape Device is situational and win-more. Seriously, you need as much consistency as you can get to keep up with some decks this format.

I clearly recall someone getting Trick's effect when she was detached from Zenmaines, even though I thought they shouldn't get it. So IDK. Though with Transtarn you should get it, I think (although this whole "misses timing" bs always confuses me).

I thought Tricks effect was activated when it was destroyed...
