Default What are some good cards for a Lightray deck?

And no, it does not have to be legal, or traditional for that matter. And please don't say "a Lightray deck is worthless in unlimited" or that sort of thing.

I'm actually pretty clueless, I only use Lightray Sorcerer, and only because it resembles Chaos Sorcerer.

Lightray monsters are good to run in a Lightsworn deck.
The best Lightray monsters are Lightray Diabolos and Lightray Gearfried.
Lightray Daedalus is very easy to summon and has decent ATK, but it's more of a beater since the effect won't be used often (good fighting against Dark World I suppose...)
So yea, just read the guide about Lightsworn a bit. It will give you some clues about running Lightray.

I also own a Lightray Sorcerer...Lightray Diabolos, Lightray Madoor and Lightray Daedalus, I currently run Diabolos and Daedalus in a Hieratic build. Lightray Sorcerer works well in a chaos Dragon Build. Cause there is a lot of banishing of monsters >> Light attribute in particular, and His effect is great. To make him more consistent run Soul Release with it. Lightray Madoor is also another very good wall card. Honestly with a few more cards Lightrays could make a great deck in this format.

Honestly, (Yes, it was on purpose. Put in dat honest) try mixing in Lightsworns. The Seal of Orichalcos works amazingly with Daedalus, netting you a +2 every turn if your opponent doesn't destroy it. Effect Veiler is somewhat synergistic while adding in safety.

Thanks for the tips guys.

As for Lightray Sorcerer While I do main Chaos Dragons I have trouble summoning it quickly. Without summoning 3 Chaos monsters prior.

Also, did anyone hear about the new card that's basically a double Foolish Burial for (Normal) Dragons?

Is it the one that's being released in the structure deck?

Idk, apparently it's fake for now.

EDIT: Nope, it's quite real, or it will be.

Your grave ends up being quite full early in a chaos Dragon Build so even running Bazoo the soul eater wouldn't be a bad idea. Helps you banish three lights in your grave to bring out sorcerer

Yeah, kinda echoing the rest of the group here, but Lightray + Lightsworns builds a hell of a deck. I'm running a couple of Lightray Diabolos in a lightsworn deck and they're a hell of a secondary beater. Generally, Judgment Dragon is quite a bit tougher, both with a better effect and a higher attack, but his summonig requirement is a little different (5 of any light vs. 4 lightsworns) which means cards like Honest, Thunder King Rai-Oh and Effect Veiler can all help get Diabolos on the field but not Judgment Dragon. His effect is kinda weird and won't always help much, but it can disrupt their plays some and you can combo it with Book of Moon to mess up their draw phase.

Lightsworns go best when it comes to LightRay builds. I also ran LightRay builds with Ojamas that worked surprisingly well.. for a while.
