Default Diamond Dire Wolf

Easily considered a staple in Japan in nearly every deck that plays Rescue Rabbit as well as a handful of others. Will it reach staple status in the tcg. Or will it barely see play?

He can get rid of problems that other xyz can't. Thats good enough for me to be a staple.

Yeah I thought so too. I have him in my deck. Apparently no one else on here finds him any good though haha.

Most of the time, the wolf does act like the Exiled Force or that fish that destroys spells or traps (forgot the name). Does leave your field wide open to trigger HIM out. Or other variants like him. I guess if the player can't accept it much, there's always other options.

Man, wish I got it while it was below $35.

Eh, I guess a spot panic button for hostile macrofissures/Soul Drain is a good thing. Corse in Japan Raigeki Break is staple, so its natural they use this too. Diamond Dire Wolf really shines in shrine gusto.

It's a great card; but I wouldn't run it in decks that didn't use any beast or beast-warrior monsters. I feel like it would be a waste then as you waste the resources to summon the monster, just to pop an opponent's card.

Only good in decks that use/splash Beasts et al.

He doesn't work too good as a generic unless you have a ton of Extra Deck space.

Although I do see potential when the opponent has anything bigger than a 2600 monster. Especially in Dino rabbit where they don't have any rank 4s that instantly cause destruction. So I could see them playing it.

It's one of few ways for certain Decks to take out problem cards such as Royal Decree, Macro Cosmos, and many more. Especially Macro.

\Dino Rabbit can use it to get rid of Gozen Match by going Rabbit -> Saber -> Dire Wolf.

The fact that it can hit any other card on the field is what makes it versatile, even if it sacrifices 2 of your Level 4 monsters. It's mostly used in a pinch, but it can turn the game around.

Good all around in decks that use beasts/beast-warriors/winged beasts, pinch card elsewhere.

i ran this on my DN harpies for a while, but honestly ended up dropping it, since even when i ran winged beasts, i almost never had a situation where i wanted to go for this over chidori(plover)

Personally I find the card pretty underwhelming in most decks (though it is very good in some).

I actually think this could become a staple in windups.

Rabbit dodges the pop from my understanding and its great if they veiler or maxx c as some spot removal

Staple in any deck that runs mostly or exclusively Rank 4s outside of Wind-Themed decks (you have Plover for problematic cards).

and yes, this card is extremely stupid in WUs when they target their own Rabbit and then chain with Rabbit's effect.

Great in Fire Kings and Wind-Ups, decent in anything that mains other targets for it, panic card in most others.

Hardly. The OCG and TCG metas are pretty different. Something that is good in one isn't necessarily going to be better in the other.

Which pretty much tells you which is better. It depends on what your deck has access to.

It's such a waste of a good rabbit, but I can understand having the utility. Ugh, too much money for such a small bonus though. I bet it'll come up next time I play now.

If the game slows down or just playing passive, this card is really good. But most of the time It's just a subpar play in any deck that isn't beast warrior orientated.

I remember reading the effect and thinking "omfg the card will do for Scraps what Gear Gigant X has done for machine based decks!" I can pop my Scrap Beast and destroy your card and get a Chimera from my grave? Yes please.

Card is the nuts.
