So whatever they did for Chandra 4.0 behind closed doors has to exceed our expectations this go around.

I'll take a swing at this...

Chandra, Flame Eternal
1RR
[Planeswalker/Chandra]
+2 Deal 2 damage divided among creatures or planeswalkers your opponent control, then deal 1 damage to a creature or planeswalker you control.
-3 Sacrifice a creature you control. Deal Damage equal to its converted mana cost to up to 2 creatures your opponent controls.
-8 Exile Chandra, Flame Eternal and X Red permanents in your graveyard. Deal X damage to target player, then return Chandra, Flame Eternal to the battlefield.

Thank the gods they're finally getting some new people on design and development. It's shocking how small and insular R&D has been and for how long.

That's nothing compared to when Hasbro bought out Wizards in 1999.

If you remember how many people left the team from then you'd find this recent shift to be golfballs compared to the latter.

Meh...6 creatures required in your own grave. Seems steep. Only a dedicated self-mill strategy will make that anywhere even remotely consistant...and those decks probably wont use this anyway...over say that Dimir guy...

yeah, next please.

And what the hell is with the "D" in the set logo...

M11, M12, M13, D14....what?

Well if it's a card that's never been seen before, chances are decent to good that it will be in the set.

The staffs are a major leg up from the Alpha cycle and the Mirrodin cycle of the same cards. But for 3 mana....that is not a bad tradeoff for each of that basic land type entering the field. You could see my point if you've been playing for a long time. Third decade thing?

As for the new Cleric. That is a major leg up from those rats that never did anything better than allow you to jam your deck full of them for crowding capabilities. This Cleric on the other hand allows you to bring out demons =) to terrorize the field with them that make Jesper the happiest man in the world =D

Oh wait, I don't know how Lucas is going to deal with the horde of physical copy signing requests once those go into the atmosphere. But it's going to be one of a hellish time for him when he gets German stacks of them =/

That cleric and Griselbrand are going to be in the same standard for a few months.

For that cleric...

I'm thinking of adding blue for the second color for that enchantment.

The one where you Remove cards from the top of your deck, add them to hand as you play one with the same name, then take an extra turn after they are all gone.

I could see one grislbrand swing finishing it up and giving you the extra turn.

Gods can be anything actually.

In the past, Old Walkers have "an almost godlike power (shape shifter, immortal, artificial plane maker...." Since the mending, their power level drop.

So far, gods IMO are usually avatars or Spirit of the plane that they reside. Like Progenitus in Alara, or something. Myojin of the Night's Reach is a powerful Kami and few of nonPW who can actually travel across the multiverse.... Oh and the Eldrazis too.

We'll see if M14 has some support cards for Theros.

Supposedly this is the art for the new Chandra card?

Doesn't look like the art that a planeswalker would have :/
