Default Justice of Prophecy vs Veiler

I heard that Justice of Prophecy search effect works even if an opponent activates veiler? It was something along the lines of that because Justice is an optional end phase effect? Ruling confuses me and I was hoping someone could clear this up, thanks.

You can simply activate Justice's effect after Veiler expires.

That's amazing....

RedShift, I have a request though. Could you explain specifically why this is, so just in case someone challenges this, I have hard proof that explains why it works...

Mandatory effects always resolve before Optional effects can activate in the end phase.

There are exceptions if you're the turn player though.

I read it as you can never resolve optional before mandatory, which is not the case

"optional can be resolved later after all mandatory resolved." is better IMO

I did use the search function. As you can see, my post was a while after their's. I just went for the one that directly adressed my question. The other one could have been about anything. While this one was specific...

But thanks for the link. It had exactly what I was looking for..

Basically

Veiler vs Mandatory End Phase eff = Veiler wins (unless your opt wants your end phase eff to not be negated)
Veiler vs Optional End Phase eff = Optional End Phase eff wins (unless you want your end phase eff to be negated)
