Default Soul drain vs dark worlds/handtraps

case:1 player A has a face-up soul drain and set Morphing Jar. player B has beige on field and has a gold, silva and a grepha in hand, player b attacks flipping Morphing Jar which activates sending the silva, gold and grepha monster to grave , do the dark world monsters get their eff or not?

case 2: player A has soul drain is face-up on the field, player B summons tourguide, player A respondes with veiler, does veiler work and if it does will maxx c work in the same situation?

can someone please help me with this thank you

For the first one, I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that the Dark World monsters will not get their effects because they activate in the grave.

For the second, again not sure, I think you can use Veiler because it activates in the hand, not the grave, and discarding it is just part of the cost. Same for Maxx C.

Note that in the first one player B can still special summon grapha by returning beiige to his hand after MJ has resolved since Soul Drain cannot stop Grapha's sp. summon condition (it doesn't start a chain)

1. Goldd, Sillva, and beige all activate their effects in the graveyard after having been discarded.

What does soul drain say about gy effects?

2. Card effects activate and resolve where the monster was when the card was activated. Effect Veiler is like Honest and Max C, the effect activates in the hand. soul Drain does not affect hand effects.

soul drain says that monster effs that are in grave or banished cannot be activated
