LA needed their replacement for Lamar Odom for a while, so good move by Laker's management. They are already starting to look deadly again... time for Kobe and co to get him his 6th ring I guess.... I dont know about Mike Brown coaching them though...

Well.... it is a bit more technical than it looks. Nash, Jameson, Bryant, are all old as **** by typical NBA standards. Pau is getting up there in age, Artest's production dropped, and Bynum is a rising star. I will admit, if they get Howard, it will be ridiculous, but these stars are more likely to get career ending injuries... so I am assuming this is why the League is cool with it.

Speaking of the spurs has anyone else noticed other than resigning Duncan and Pat Mills they have been real quiet this off season?

So with what we have already seen from the exhibition games, how confident are we to get that gold medal?

95% confident.
The other 5% is reserved for the chance we get lazy by jacking up 3s or showboating against a quality opponent like Spain or Argentina

90%. IF Spain can find a way to handle our pressure on defense they have a good shot of knocking us off.

It can't come soon enough. As a Lakers fan, I don't even care if he goes to LA anymore. It's annoyed me that much. He could go play in China for all I care.

Eh, Duncan is still effective, Manu's still efficient, and Parker's effectively taken over. Plus there's Jackson and the second coming of the great fat Diaw.
No worries.

Indeed, after watching those final exhibition games. They got to prepare for their best and can't sleep on them.
Just finished looking at Miami's Season Schedule. Not really impressed since its almost exactly like last season just different dates. I am happy we are not going to have to wait until Christmas...phew.
There's going to be many "return" games, anyone got one in mind that you are anticipating?
Lin returns to NY
Allen returns to Boston
Anthony returns to Denver
Kidd returns to Dallas
Terry returns to Dallas
Nash returns to the Phoenix
Johnson to Atlanta
Maybe...Dwight
