Blackwings, what to do?
I'm not so sure about what would be the best option, so I want to see people's view on this and their arguments.

Why should anything be done?
The only reason why I could see them getting Gale, Kalut, or Whirlwind back is because of their new support coming from V-JUMP. But even then... they could be fine without these cards coming off the list, maybe a tier 3/ low tier 2 deck.

Because they've been massively hit and aren't anything close to tournament relative anymore? And what happens when there are cards on the ban list and the decks they were hit for aren't tournament relative anymore? They come off.

Stop it with the double-Rush Recklessly-that-works-from-the-hand that also doubles as a monster. That thing is fine at 1.
I would vote Gale to 2 among those things, but I would ban Black Whirlwind so Konami is forced to support Blackwings properly if they are still going to do so. Gram was a very bad joke.

True. It doesn't seem like Konami is supporting Synchros very well right now, so I don't see Why they would want to bring back Blackwings just yet. The only positives I see are the manga blackwings.
Now, if they plan on making a "Legendary Collection 3" for the 5'Ds era, then yes I could easily see Blackwings coming off the list, similar to how Six Sam and Lightsworns were given a little push from last list (which was to help promote those products, Lightrays, and the new structure deck). |

They don't really need boosts.
What needs to happen is all the Tier 1/2 crap needs to be brought to the level of Blackwings.
Seriously, right now Blackwings are well balanced and a good example of a healthy power level.

But,but,but gale effectively makes big monsters costless by semi-smashing grounding(heck,a leviathan dragon halved by gale might as well be dead) as a float by when synchroing,making big mons costless.

Yea, it can kill big mons and bring out other big mons.
Remember, being a tuner is no longer a luxury in the Xyz era, as any monster is a pseudo-tuner anyways.

Gale could move up, but Kalut stays at 1. Attack boosting hand traps are ridiculous and terribly designed.

Kalut needs to stay at ONE, Black Whirlwind could move up to TWO and Gale COULD move to TWO, but is probably better staying at ONE.
Blackwings have become irrelevant as a deck, so getting Black Whirlwind would at least give them some more opportunities to always open with ONE, and it does only work with Normal Summons.
