In your opinion, which series of YGO is the best and which is the worst?

I've been watching ZEXAL (the dub) since it started and I'm not too impressed by it....I was just curious as to which series is regarded as the best by the fans here. Here's my opinion:

1. The original DM. IMO it had the better characters, storylines and duels. Every character developed in some way and it was just overall a great anime series.

2. 5Ds. This series is also very good. Much more mature then it's predecessors, and had very good arcs for the most part. The characters were also done well (though I disliked how Akiza turned out). I was never really a fan of the turbo duels though.

3. GX. I thought it was interesting at first but then it quickly went downhill for me. The character's all seemed very stereotypical and stale. I didn't like how Jaden always had the spotlight, in the original we at least had cool characters like Joey and Kaiba that dueled, but in GX it was almost always Jaden, and he always won :s

4. Zexal. So far I'm not impressed. I haven't seen the Japanese version, so I'm not too far ahead, but I am up to par with the English version. The only characters I find interesting are Shark, Kite and Cathy. Yuma seems very childish and had no growth or development so far. I'm sure the series will improve, but it's been 20 something episodes I believe and it falls short in comparison to it's predecessors.

What are your guys' opinions? Which series did u guys like/dislike.

GX has a terrible plot but characters I like, main and one-shot.

ZeXal has a better plot, but most of the main cast is insufferable.

I prefer character over plot, so I'm going to give this honor to ZeXal. That said, I can still enjoy an episode of ZeXal no problem these days. I /do/ still forget I'm watching Yugioh at times when I watch it, though. That's not good.

My fave is 5D. turbo duels are lame, but the dynamics shown was good looking. seeing Sonic Chick rushing alongside yusei was quite inspiring!
My least liked is GX. among other bad parts, worst one being the amount of nonsense. Anything stated would work, like when Jaden said he would enter into his friend while Neos was attacking, an out of nowhere statement.

So this is what Pojo has been reduced to. Spamming polls and distaste for Zexal like crazy. Sigh...

Oh well. DM gives me nostalgia ******s so that's my favorite and the duels had complexity.
5D's comes in second. The duels were too situational but the plot made up heavily for the **** cards.
GX was good in a sense where you could sort of relate to it. Being in school and playing cards with your friends. Plot and duels were bad.
Zexal is just DM without everything that made it good. It's also really boring.

uhh...sorry? I'm a new member and don't come on to often so i'm unfamiliar with past topics and i didnt know how to make a poll :S i'll keep that in mind next time, if i decide to post a similar topic in this forum. I'm glad to see the users are so friendly around here....

Zexal has terrible characters and a good plot.
GX is probably worse, but GX felt like YGO and therefore I'll say zexal is worse.

To me, all Yu gi oh Seriess tie as number 1. Each one has something extremely awsome.

Original: each new arc introduced new awsome monsters and a great storyline, Yugi vs Atem.
"It's Time to duel"

GX:Elemental heroes, Dueling school, Yugi vs Jaden in the end.
"Get Your Game in"

5Ds: Signers, Synchros, Accel sychro summoning, Yusei vs Z-One, Yusei going into space to summon Shooting Quasar dragon turning Gold in the process. "Let's Rev it up"

Zexal: Numbers, Zexal, a beginner as the main character with a losing streak as legendary as mine, Astral, Number hunters, Number 39 Utopia, chaos Numbers. "I'm feeling the flow"

Ok then, not my problem. you think it's garbage, you can keep on trolling all you want. I still like yu gi oh and that is all that matters. Besides, nothing is better than a good argument.

When I say ZeXal is ****, I am not trolling. I post well-thought out arguments that people try to counter and fall flat on their faces when they do. If you wish to see my arguments, search for them because I don't care enough to do it for you.

Well then TerrorKing, that makes a lot more sense than whatever i just said. I've read your arguments before, and they are quite good.I'll take up the challenge of countering your arguments as well then.
