March 2012 Top Tiers - Let's Make a List Together (part 2)
Hello pojo! This thread will be a sequel to my older one, "New Format's Top Tiers - Let's Make a List Together". Since the new format is beginning we need a new thread.
Flaming/Spamming is unacceptable. Please tell your thoughts first and don't start cursing anyone.
The tiers are formed under those conditions listed by Krevyen21 and me:
Tier 1 - Overwhelming representation and there is an obvious difference from them to everything else. Basically decks that top consistently YCS's and have more tops than the others.
Tier 2 - Anything with a YCS placing deserve to be here.
Tier 3 - Regional wins and random YCS tops.
Tier 4 - Everything else
Tierlist is still incomplete because I need the top 32 of YCS Long Beach. If anyone knows it please post it and I'll make sure to add it in the OP. Thank in advance.
Rabbit Dino (3 YCS win, 35 YCS, 14 regionals)
Dragons (2 YCS win, 7 YCS, 4 regionals)
Dark World (1 YCS win, 2 YCS, 3 regionals)
Inzektors (17 YCS, 7 regionals)
Wind-Ups (13 YCS, 13 regionals)
Hero Variants (7 YCS, 3 regionals)
Six Samurai (1 YCS)
Piper Chaos (1 YCS)
Chain Burn (1 YCS)
Final Countdown (1 YCS)
Gravekeepers (4 regionals)
Agent Variants (2 regionals)
Karakuris (1 regionals)
T.G. Stun (1 regionals)
Chaos Stun (1 regionals)
Frog Variants (1 regionals)
Psychics (1 regionals)
Malefics (1 regionals)
Everything else
Contests this thread has been through:
Long Beach (only top 16, if anyone has the top 32 please post it here)
Lima
Toulouse
Dallas
Minessota
Garden City
Montreal
Charlotte
Florida
Sioux Falls
West Allis

I'll leave this here:
http://lfnandygo.blogspot.com/2012/0...-analysis.html
According to a comment at the bottom of the page linked, the list is in order of the 4 / 8 / /16 / 32 cuts. Not in order by 1st, 2nd and so on but the first 16 are the top 16 Hope this helps.

That can't be right...
"4x inzektor in top 8," and the top 8 on the list only contains 3 inzektors.

They're not in order from 1-16 as I said, lol.
The first 16 are the Top 16 they aren't in an order.
Edit:
US coverage for YCS sucks, there was no definite top 16 list or top 8. I guess it may just be that the top 32 is all we get in no specific order. So my above statement may be wrong.

Top 8 - 2 Caleb Albert-Fauson w/ INZEKTOR
Top 8 - 29 Hector Heras w/ INZEKTOR
Top 8 - 16 Joshua Aldrich w/ INZEKTOR
Top 8 - 20 Edgar Hale Jr. w/ DRAGON
Top 16 - 1 Anthony Pascariello w/ RABBIT
Top 16 - 3 Matthew Bishop w/ RABBIT
Top 16 - 6 Sean Montague w/ RABBIT
Top 16 - 17 Jason Jadofsky w/ HERO

Updated the list. Moved Dragons to tier 1 and dropped Wind-Ups to tier 2.

Six Sams should theoretically be doing better than they are ATM (getting Shi En and Great Shogun Shien out on the board simultaneously is an S/T lock), their only problem is getting anything with over 2500 ATK out. Which they don't do conventionally. Dragons/Hieratics can pretty much wreck Six Sams, as well as Inzektors and Rabbit (to an extent).

Shogun and Shi En lock does not work. You can check that out on wikia.

They don't create a S/T lock just so you know.
Also Dragons and Hero decks are really tough match ups for Sams.
Rabbit and Inzektors, oddly enough are good match ups for the deck.

Looks like Inzectors are highly meta-changing so everyone sided round 2 just to screw with them.
If this is any indication of what's gonna happen in September Inzektors are gonna get the plant treatment, Rabbit is gonna get their boss monsters hit and dragons are gonna get red-eyes hit.
Wind-ups should lose hunter but knowing Konami they won't do it.
Neat seeing who's dominating and who's not.

In all honesty I think piper could be tier one but not a lot of people are really playing it. The deck performs amazIngly well and really isn't scared of anything other than Skill Drain and macro based strategies.

Actually, Heroes have a really hard time with Sams, the explosion sams create first turn heroes can't deal with.

I understand what your saying but the fact that they have bigger beaters and are so versatile is what makes the matchup bad.
Not to mention the fact they have Super Polymerization , which Shien and none of my Naturias can negate.

Where do Lightray-Lightsworns place?
Also, you may as well rename "Dragons", "Dragon Variants", since Chaos, LSD (Lightsworn Dragons), and even straight-up Disaster are all popular builds this format.
