Someone convince me that there is a way to run this deck without controllers, at least on DN. <3

My build at the moment. http://i.imgur.com/EmYAI.jpg
Until I test how well Shrink and Armory Arm work for me, I'm not dropping Umiiruka, but I understand if anyone thinks it's taking up space. Seriously, 2800 Gishilnodon/Brionac 2700 Pointman INSTA2500(3000) Leviathan 2300 Abyss RESPECTABLE 1700 Undine, I've covering a lot of bases, baby

Well I don't usually use him as Undine fodder which would be the only way I'd be able to run 1, imo
I'll open with Undine -> Dragon Ice for a bit and see how I like it

I like one Dragon Ice. I don't know if I have a room for a second to draw into one. It really just depends on the situation. If I'm not threatened by my opponent's field, I go for Dragon Ice instead of Arms/Marks.
I kind of want to test out an Umiikura build. I mean... Hats has a point. 500 is nothing to scoff at. I'll probably use it in my Decree build, so my opponent has to figure out what to MST. Heavy Storm MIGHT be a problem, but... not too worried about it honestly. It's one card in 40, and even if they blow up both Decree and Umiikura, I'll have other options.
Anyone think we might have a field that is kinda like Wetlands? Or allows us to attack directly?
Additional Comment:
Has anyone thought about building an ALO deck dedicated to the boss?

>ALO
>Poseidra
LOLNO
Also, I think the field card will do X Effect and +400/500 to atlanteans. I can see an instant 1800atk Marksman being viable enough to do damage for its effect, so most likely +400. Not sure if it will be counted as Umi yet, but if it does you can expect me to tech in Codarus

It might not be that bad. I mean, sure, it wouldn't be as good. It might be fun, though. You could run 4s and 5s more easily, and he'd be a 1 sac random beater.

You know, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER they're going to include a Field Spell. Its invevitable.
If I may whip out my CAC for a second...
Atlantean Field
Field Spell Card
This card's name is treated as "Umi". All Sea-Serpents on the field gain 400 Attack. When this card leaves the field, you can add 1 "Atlantean" monster from your graveyard to your hand.
[/cac]
This card not only appeals to Atlanteans, BUT it helps Codarus/Levia/Neo-Daed (which, mind you, ARE ALL SEA-SERPENTS). A teched Codarus can do wonders for the Structure Deck, and Levia can be used as a Pseudo-Boss if they really needed it. Otherwise, Codarus is still a good pick.
Besides, this guy RULES OVER THE FRIGGIN OCEAN. Umi = Ocean. All Water is the Ocean, Poseidra rules over all and calls them all THE OCEAN. Yay

Gee, it's good to know no one else is interested in running a fun and lulzy variant of this deck instead of just trying to break it...

My ALO variant, if I ever had one, won't be too different from the current deck
-3 Undine
-2 Controllers
-2 Umiiruka
+3 Codarus
+2 Warrior of Atlantis
+2 A legendary Ocean
Poseidra stays, and maybe I can squeeze in 1 or 2 Hammer Sharks. +points to Hammer Shark deck in signature+

You can try re-testing a HERO build (he was using D-Heros for Mali and D-Draw) but the deck is starting to get seriously crowded and if you want to abuse the atlanteans, the Undine Engine is much better than Ice Edge. The HERO build didn't do much popping. In fact, it was a lot like an Ab0 D-HERO deck with Atlantean Armsman tech.

No. It has to be more broken.
It has to be something like
"Each Sea Serpent Monster on the field gains 500 Attack. Once per turn you can send 1 Sea Serpent monster from your deck to the graveyard to draw 1 card. That Sea Serpent Monster is treated as if it was sent for the effect of a Water Monster"
Makes Pointman bigger. Makes our recruiter extremely viable. And its a destruction draw engine depending on the situation. The only thing we need is something to search other Serpents.
I'd say a RoTA version.
"You can add 1 Sea Serpent monster from your deck to your hand"
Fetch Diva. Use the field spell, draw and pop, summon Diva and start derping into 1-2 Synchro's (Possibly drawing another with Librarian) or 1 XYZ+ A bigger Markman that will create more pluses.
KONAMI PLEASE MAKE THESE CARDS SO WE CAN BREAK THE DECK.

I just get the feeling that if we get any S/T support in the deck, I worry that it'll be crap like Dragon Mastery.

At least with the way things are looking for us, we shouldn't be largely reliant on such a card like Dragunities are for their field.

Naww I like my idea's better lol.
Instant destruction+Drawing and it boosts Marksman to get his effect off+ The search card searches Diva.

Nah, I think Konami is trying NOT to make this deck as herp-derpy as the past Structure Decks. I mean, why else would they bring back WATER monsters? They want to cater to the yearning fans AND give them something useful, but at the same time not trying to shy us away with cheap tactics.
If you ask me, it sounds like...
+reaches for sunglasses+
They're going for maximum eFISHency
