I think potentially 5 months (the water SD will likely come out in oct) is enough of a timeframe to reprint cards.

As for TGU; contrary to what Bakura said, they are substitutes to using TGU, otherwise we wouldn't see inzectorz, dino rabbit, dragons, wind-ups and Dark World all top YCS / Regionals without them. The problem is whether or not you're good enough at deck building and playin YGO to compensate for the lost. Most players just aren't that good.

No their isn't, name ONE card used by the above decks that was used as a replacement TOUR GUIDE? Hyena....? What you MEANT to say was that some people just played decks that were less reliant on TGU....which IS possible, but NOTHING is an adequate substitute for the card...just like their is no adequate substitute for Solemn Warning, Monster Reborn, Pot of Duality, and Dark Hole....

Well, that depends on what his rarity in the Battle Pack is. If it's Common, then he will have been printed in every rarity except Super. We'll still have to wait a while, but it does at least make it reasonable that the reprint will be for something meaningful, like a Turbo Pack.

However, if he does turn out to be a Rare, that won't help anything, since he was already printed as a rare in one of the Duelist League sets. We'd probably need to wait for a Structure Deck for a common Gorz to happen. (Samurai Warlords? No...)

Do I even care about this? Maybe, but waiting in anticipation for something exciting can always make you do that.

I do want at least ONE card in every rarity....Blue Eyes, Cyber Dragon, and Gorz are SO close....Dark Necrofear has Rare, Super Rare, Ultra Rare, Secret Rare, DT Rare,Common(Japanese), only needing Parallel and Ghost to finish up the rarity spread....

Did you happen to forget about Stardust Dragon? That one has been printed in every rarity... except Common. :O

However, he has already been put in a Turbo Pack... other than that, how hard would it be to get him reprinted in something that doesn't need him as a foil?

Nope. The Duelist League copy isn't really one of those rarities either. It's basically a seperate one in a class of its own.

Yeah... I guess I should have mentioned that in my post. He's actually been printed in a special variant or Rare... a colored rare.

Those rares were given out at special Konami-sanctioned events. The normal Rare-text foiling used for those cards was altered so that they were one of several different colors. They're very slight, but they glow if you place them near a strong light source.

And, technically, if Gorz were printed as a Rare in the Battle Pack, that wouldn't be a true rare, either. It would be a variant of those colored rares, except with the rare-text foil colored white/black.

Stardust will eventually get a common, Dark Magician and Neos have....and Gagaga Magician is getting one in Battle Pack...Gold Series Common or Legendary Collection 3 (If we get one)....

Today when I went to my locals, I asked the other players their opinions about what value Tour Guide (Epic Dawn versions) will be after the release, and they say it will be like $10~20. What do you guys think?

No. $30-40.

You can't even guarantee 1 Tour Guide out of an entire box. There's no way they can price it that low.

Its going to be $50 - $60 each. Its undoubtedly going to be short print, the demand is VERY high and people are going to want to make their money back once they realize the set is bad and will only contain about 20% of good stuff to be used outside of sealed play.

if i get 1 tour guide, 1 adreus, 1 tiras and 1 pearl from my box it will be fine because that's everything i need

also pulling 1 leviathan and 1 utopia will be nice

Kevin said its supposed to be a soft reprint to ease tensions on those who payed $150+ for there's, how is $30 accomplishing that? Not to mention the pull ratios are already confirmed to be fixed. What possibly makes you think Tour Guide is unaffected? Especially after the Rare reprint of veiler.

$20 tops.

There will be way too much Supply of the packs. The Tour Guides will be pulled. Not to mention the fear of the September ban list will keep it from exploding.

It will be at $40 for the start and it will drop slowly as time goes up. Gaia Dragon is $12 and it used to be $20, Atum is $18 and it used to be $30.

Tour Guide will follow suit.

Not to mention boxes is, what, $50-60? A Tour Guide is not going to be worth that at all. It's only $40 and that's pre-orders. It's dropping from here on out.

It should settle to $20 after some time, but don't expect it to be that low within months of release.
