Welcome to Past Present Future Comics & Games Official Cardfight! Vanguard Pojo Thread I!
Here's what you need to know about our shop...

We host Cardfight! Vanguard Tournaments every Thursday evening at 6pm.
The entry fee is $5 and the Top Winners will receive Store Credit.
Prize Support depends on how many people show up.

We'll be using the MANTIS program to run the Swiss Style Tournaments

Player's also usually show up on Wednesday night's to Play test their Decks.

I have One Simple Rule for this NEW Thread... keep the Name Calling, Spamming, Flaming and Trolling to a Minimum.
Constant Violators of this Rule will NOT be allowed to attend our Tournaments.

Hopefully we'll have more then 5 people attend.

Long Story short...
7 people showed up this week and we did 3 rounds.
Rob T. placed 1st and won $20 Store Credit.
Tom H. placed 2nd and won $8 S.C.
We improved by about 33%.

Just an idea guys... What do ya think about a Vanguard Booster Draft?
Is it possible, can it be done?
I honestly think you guys could handle it better then the Yugioh players.
Since most of you players are over 18.
Let me know and we'll work out the details.

That would be really tricky I think considering the decks go by teams. Not pulling enough of a team/decks needing triggers I'm not sure how it would work out.

it is said "You do not need to have the same clan on the field to activate your trigger during your drive check."

Does your shop also sell cardfight vanguard cards? And does pffsouth do the tourney aswell?

We sell Booster Packs & Booster Boxes. And we sell Trial Decks too.
No singles and the South Store does not host Tournaments.

So, maybe we can do a Booster Draft then?

Yesterday's Tournament was kind of a wash.
Only 5 people showed up and Marcus J. took home $20 store credit.
If we don't get at least 12 people on the next two Thursdays,
this will be the last month for Vanguard Tournaments.

I'm down for a booster draft. How much are the boxes at PPF? If they are $75> we could booster draft with 5 people (5 packs) for $15 each, 6 or more could be 2 boxes, etc. (1st place could take home the remaining packs for 1 box draft, 1st and 2nd for 2 boxes, etc.)

Wouldn't buying boxes every week make it worth PPF's while to let us sit in their and keep the tournaments going (at least until a following gets up to speed)?

Also, we could build half decks and do a quick fight (25 cards, 8 triggers [non-exclusive to clan], 2 heals, and 3/4 damage) because 16 triggers, 4 being heal, with 6 damage in a 30 card deck is a LOT and will result in LONG matches and deck outs most likely.

A second idea would be a starter deck tourney.

Also I will be their this thursday n trying to bring an extra person. Will try to be their about 5:30p, but I'm not sure if I'll make it by then...

Well, My friends and I play vanguard and we didn't know about these tournaments. Lmao, There are 8 of us and we'd love to stop by! Is it every thursday?
