Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning
Gogogo Golem x2
Kaiser Sea Horse
Sangan
Mask of Darkness
Summoner Monk
Marshmallon x2
Spirit Reaper x2
The Calculator
Battle Fader x2

21 Monsters

Pyramid of Light x2
Torrential Tribute x2
Dark Bribe x2
Solemn Judgement

7 Traps

Monster Reborn
Mystical Space Typhoon x2
Heavy Storm
Dark Hole
Pot of Avarice
Pot of Duality
Magic Planter
Monster Reincarnation
Burial from a Different Dimension
Advance Draw x2

I just can't seem to win with this deck, and I want/need to make it competitive, since both my friends are running odd decks like this, but i was the one who picked the harder choice

At the moment, it appears as though the deck is designed to stall for a while until i can summon Andro and Teleia, and then blow them both up either via PoL or Dark Hole. I don't really like this style, for i'm more of a hyper-aggressive style.

So, thoughts ? Idea's for a PoL deck ? HELP !?!?

just a thought but have you tried a Skill Drain build? have Beast Kings and maybe adding macros with that support? Making it a little more anti-meta.

No, never tried a Skill Drain build. I might give that a shot, however the point of PoL is getting Theinen on the field and bumping his ATK to 6500.

Beast King Barborous I'll look into too.

1 Theinen
Mask of Darkness
Obelisk
Gogogo Golem x2
Kaiser Seahorse
Summoner Monk
The Calculator
Marshmallon
Spirit Reaper
Burial from a Different Dimension
Advance Draw

I know it's very tricky to run a deck like this in a format like this, but the above cards don't make it any easier (except for Marsh/Reaper, but they'll help less when you start winning more). I honestly have very little experience with this deck, but I wish you luck. I'll try to help as much as possible:

Pot of Duality: you need 3. It's awesome and will help you get the bits you need; especially the Pyramid.

Thunder King Rai-Oh: it conflicts with Duality, but it has such a huge presence on the field that it's pretty much a go-to, especially if you use BLS.

MST: Well, with those big monsters, you'll need to protect them from BTH and the like.

Fiendish Chain: amazing card this format, and if you're keeping Magic Planter, you'll need it.

Effect Veiler/Maxx "C": Test out whatever quantities you like, but these cards are more or less a necessity at the moment.

I hope I helped!

-1 Theinen
-1 obelisk
-2 Gogogo Golem
-1 kaiser
-1 Sangan
-1 mask
-1 monk
-2 Marshmallon
-2 Battle Fader

-1 avarice
-1 Reincarnation
-1 Burial
-2 Advance Draw

-2 bribe

Additions in bold:

Theinen the Great Sphinx x1
Andro Sphinx x2
Sphinx Teleia x2
Thunder King Rai-Oh x3
The Calculator x2
Herald of Creation x2
Tragoedia x2
Spirit Reaper x2
Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning x1
Honest x1
18 Monsters

Mystical Space Typhoon x3
Magic Planter x3
Pot of Duality x3
Monster Reborn x1
Heavy Storm x1
Dark Hole x1
Book of Moon x1
13 spells

Pyramid of Light x3
Metal Reflect Slime x3
Torrential Tribute x2
Solemn Judgment x1
9 Traps

Total 40 cards

The Calculator + Metal Reflect Slime combo is kinda gimmicky, if it doesnt work replace them with Gold Sarcophagus, Fiendish Chain etc.

Other cards:
Gold Sarcophagus (search out either pyramid or Sphinx cards)
Soul Exchange (forces laggia to use its effect, Sphinx monsters cant attack anyway)
Reborn Tengu (beast type, good recursion)
Horn of the Phantom Beast (continuous trap, Magic Planter food)
Beast King Barbaros + Tiger King Wanghu
T.G. Support
Fiendish Chain
Elemental hero Alius + Stratos + hero support (good advantage, high atk, beatstick)
Card Guard

just my opinion at a glance.

You could add Horn of the Phantom Beast, and some Beasts and Beast-Warriors...
Skill Drain is nice here as it does not affect you much (you do not need a 6500 ATK Theinen, it is just an option you have available), but running more than 2 is a bad idea.
Run only 1 Theinen. You are not likely to summon it even from the deck without some assistance from your opponent.

Now this is a bit of creativity. Always wondered if the Sphinxes could be competitive. I don't know much about them, but I'd listen to these dudes.

i would so make this a beast Skill Drain build with the sphinxs. You could run Horn of the Phantom Beast, and some good beasts to make this a great build. I don't know if it would be consistent but it could work well.

Just thought i'd mention because not alot of folks no this, but Andro Sphinx & Sphinx Teleia do not require Pyramid of Light. it's just a way to summon them faster. They can be tribute summoned which is great.

And I'm listening folks I wanna make this happen, so i'm trying different builds with all your suggestions !

You know, I've wondered since I saw the movie in theaters if this could ever have some sort of build. Just as I thought, it's difficult. I'd definitely like to see this thing win though, I'm all for crazy deck's like this. Subbing.
