Shark drake is Sharks new numbers monster which he won from III. He no longer has Number 17.
Since he's the kaiba of the zexal world, he's next to get a chaos number.

I would think Kaito is the Kaiba of this series. Packing the Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon as a boss monster (3000 ATK LV8 Dragon), very arrogant and refuses the slightest of help from the main character unless he got no choice, has a brother to protect.
I just don't know what to classify Shark as. I would say the Joey of the series but that would be insulting to Shark. He's far more talented than Joey for what it is worth.
But I REALLY want to know what Chaos Number 32's effect is. If it's anything like Utopia to Utopia Ray, it's going to suck massively for anyone who is on the receiving end of that card. |

I would think Zane is the Kaiba of GX.
Did have Cyber End as the series's BEUD. Cyber Dragon was basically the BEWD.
And most importantly, Zane did have a brother and was always out for power while having a high level for tactics.
Chazz is more like Joey in some way. |

It's getting a Chaos Number version because
a. It's a Number owned by one of the main characters (Shark)
b. Yuma is most likely never going to Chaos Xyz anything else because of plot.

Shark is Yuma rival (I think that he doesn't know about Astral)
Kaito is Astral rival (said by himself)
Shark Drake has an effect that can cause serious damage, his Chaos form has to be even better than the regular, being capable of Anime-OTK the opponent like Utopia Ray...

Summoning condition will probably be changed to "3 Level 4 WATER monsters or *Chaos Xyz change text*" as needing 4 materials is a bit ridiculous. Seeing as how Shark Drake Vice will be an ass-pull to turn the duel around, the effect will probably be something along the lines of "You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card and target 1 face-up monster your opponent control; the target's ATK is reduced by 1000 and this card gains an extra attack this during this turn's Battle Phase." Probably slap a LP requirement to activate/resolve it, too.
Wouldn't have minded a Number C17: Leviathan Dragon *something*

Astral = Atem
Shark = Chaz
TBH I would have preferred C17 over C32. Leviathan Dragon needs a bit more Bite.

Why not CN17?
First of all, the last time N17 was in a duel was on episode 14, yes N17 hasn't show up in a duel for the last 35 episodes. IRL duels people stopped caring about N17.
But Why CN32?
Well it shark's new Number. N32 Has a big role in the plot. 1 Part it can communicate like N83 and N96. And the other is that it try to "infect" shark.

Sounds about right. The way I see it, it will probably end up being:
"3 LVL 4 WATER monsters
You can also XYZ summon this card by overlaying one "Number 32: Shark Drake". When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the graveyard, you can detach one XYZ material from this card, it can attack again. You must have 1000 or less life points to activate and resolve this effect."
Note the lack of a "once per turn", so if you opponent had say 3 monsters, this card could possibly attack up to 4 times in a single turn. LP restriction would keep it from being broken.

Shark is a less friendly Joey. He's on the protagonist's side and considers him a friend (though he doesn't show it, unlike Joey) but he has his own goals. He even has a hospitalized little sister.

so how does Shark summon this? His deck is built upon Rank 3's?
Hopefully they come out with a level 3 water/fish that can once per turn increase the level of all your fish/Sea-Serpent/Aqua monsters by 1. That way they can give him a way to summon this, while staying true to his deck.
Or his next duel could have him suddenly pull out 3-5 new level 4 monsters that he has just never used before because of... quantum...
