Effect Veiler vs Book of Moon
-I normal summon a monster and activate its effect that can be activated when it's summoned, or use that monster's ignition effect while I have priority
-My opponent uses Effect Veiler on that monster in response
Can I chain Book of Moon or another effect that will leave my monster face down at resolution and still get my monster effect since Veiler's target is no longer face up?

yes, in your scenario, removing it from the field also works.

It's just basic logical knowledge. Nested conditional statements use a lot less space.
If A, then if B, then C. Otherwise, just D.
