Default Photon Thrasher

Photon Thrasher, warrior effect, light, 4 star monster. effect alot like Cyber Dragon. Whos better? [cannot be normal summoned or set. must first be special summoned from your hand while you have no monsters. if you control another monster, this card cannot attack. ATK/2100 DEF/o

If you play a lot of lv 4 monsters then yeah thrasher, but doesn't thrasher have that negative effect saying if you have anybody else he can't attack.

Thrasher has the bonus of being able to be summoned if your opponent has no monsters.

Ban CFD. Or not

Anyway I wanted to pick up some more Photon Thrashers for a Bubble Beat deck, but they've gone up from $.10 to $1 in a week or two.

Good card that has its place in Hero Beat/Bubbleman/etc. but Cyber Dragon is still better and more splashable because of its lack of restrictions and access to CFD.

Being level 4 gives Thrasher a better chance to Xyz, giving it a purpose other than beatdown.

Its restrictions and CyDra's access to CFD still give CyDra the edge. When better Rank 4 Xyzs come out, Thrasher's niche may start growing.

It all depends on the things that differ between Thrasher and CyDra. Whether Level 4 or 5 is superior in the deck, Machine or Warrior, whether defense is important, etc. Both are good cards that are similar and should be judged on a deck-to-deck basis.

If you only want and splashable beater or side deck option, then Cydra its the better choice just cause CFD.

Thrasher however works wonders on Hero beat or if your deck needs a Warrior beater, it also allows easier access to Blade Armor Ninja and later, H. C. Excalibur which are both quitte agressive cards that can push for a nice amount of LP.

Can Cydra be searched be RotA or photon lizard? no? thrasher is easier to get. The only reason to use cydra over thrasher is CFD or rank 5.dek.

If you're using thrasher, you're probably using photons, most likely the Skill Drain variant since it's arguably the best version. In that example, it'd be better to use BKB since it will be more supported in the deck than zombyra is. HotPB and Skill Drain don't work nearly as good with zombrya as they do with barbaros.
