Chaos monsters are obviously a huge part of this deck, being able to take advantage of milling and allowing Eclipse Wyvern's effect to be completed to get REDMD, DAD or even Judgment Dragon into your hand when you need it. They can also form the win conditions of the deck, with Lightpulsar and BLS being straight up difficult to deal with, and good usage of Darkflare and Chaos Sorcerer's effects can help accomplish this.
However, there is still fairly significant variations in the number actually ran. Some decks seem to do well with 3 LPD, 1 DFD, BLS, 1 CS and DAD, while others max out the DFDs and CS. Are these related to build (so a deck with higher milling and grave manipulation can afford to run more chaos), or simply to personal preference?
(Excuse the slightly nooby questions. I'm trying to get into the game and will have to buy every card for the deck, and I can't afford to have to many spares to play around with.)
EDIT
Phantom of Chaos has been really useful so far. If you keep it in your hand until you need it, it allows you to be able to use any effect you need, or even just beat stick something down if you really need it. Something that can be a one turn duplicate of what can quickly be a large proportion of your deck (yay milling) can easily be that clutch card that steals games. On the other hand though, it is very vulnerable after it does it's thing (especially if it got effect veilered etc) so beware putting in too many copies.

what I really mean is people posting their versions of the deck with a few cards variations and sometimes not even variations but different numbers of copies of certain cards
theres really no point in asking opinions about that deck as a whole, if you just copy and pasted and took out like 3 cards.
and theres actually more versions than that, TGU / TGUless and JD / JDless

With pretty much 1 way to play the deck all the variations in numbers are personal preference.
All the cards that you'll need to run multiples of (especially ones you just have listed) comes in the structure deck so you'll have enough spares to go around.

This includes the heiratic version, eclipse version, creature swap version or even the virus One. Possibly even rabbits.

I love it, if only Daedalus was a dragon, everything would be perfect.

ehh
It doesn't mill
Its not a dragon
Not saying it isn't good, but devoting 3 spots in the main probably isn't a good idea. Teching 1-2 isn't bad.

the only issue is with the wording...
Once per turn: You can target 1 Field Spell Card and 2 other cards on the field; destroy them.
pretty much means u can't destroy the field card, unless your opponent has 2 other cards on the field... unless you plan on killing your own cards, or have it suicide

Yep. All we run are Lightpulsar Dragon, Darkflare Dragon, REDMD, DAD, and Eclipse Wyvern.
Has anyone noticed that playing this deck on the DN is really inconsistent?
Hey GreenSscythe, I updated my deck:

Looks good Reiver, how is the plaguespreader working out. I ran one for a while but didn't like it. Not enough overpowered synchros as much as there are XYZs these days. Now if Trish came back.....
Additional Comment:
Oh yeah, at locals today, I played a dude who looked at my extra after the duel and asked me why in the world I ran Five-Headed Dragon. "It sucks!" he said. I almost pissed my pants laughing.

I just like Plaguespreader Zombie because I don't have Tour Guide From the Underworld to go into my rank 3s. Once I get the rare Tour Guides, I'll be switching this deck up again.
But for PSZ will stay.
Somebody at my locals told me that why are running Future Fusion when your opponents are just going to blow it away. I told him that if you play the deck right, you shouldn't have to worry about losing your Future Fusion because we just use it to set up our graveyard to make our plays. If FF gets MST'd or Heavy'd, we don't take at all because it did the job we needed it to do.
