Default Uria and his continous freinds - guide to the sacred beast

There continous traps to shut down any deck. Chaos, Malefic: Imperial Iron Wall, Hyper Liberian Synchro: Tuner Scheme, Agents: Skill Drain, Darkworld: Shadow imprisoning mirror, Macro Cosmos Hero: Vanity�s emptiness, Non-Fusion Area. So the idea of this deck is to main as many of these cards as possible and to side the rest blocking your opponents winning conditions for as long as possible

What about MST and Heavy Storm?!

You might think that a continuous trap deck in a format with 3 Mystical Space Typhoon and 1 Heavy Storm would be useless but is not necessarily true. Why? I give you 3 cards that make this deck possible: Starlight Road, Imperial Custom and Tiki Soul. In the first duel your opponent will probably only run 2 MST and a Heavy Storm if you can make your opponent waste these 3 cards you a have a pretty good Stun. How do you make your opponent waste these cards?

Example A: Your opponent plays MST and targets your Zoma the Spirit or other trap monster, You chain Tiki Soul. Zoma the Spirit gets reset and the MST was wasted.

Example B: Your opponents plays MST and targets Imperial Iron Wall, you chain Imperial Custom, The MST resolves with no effect.

Exmple C: Starlight Road.... Enough said

So we have learnt that a continous trap deck can block the opponents winning conditions but that is not enough it needs winning conditions of its own. It has have three Major options:

Uria lord of searing flames beat down

Uria can easily have 10,000 + Attack Summon him and go for a beat down! He is safe from bottomless trap type cards but not Solemn Warning so before summoning him I�d recommend having a Royal Decree or Xing Zhen Hu on the feild.

Lava Golem burn

Take down two of your opponents monsters for a Lava Golem summon. Then use Nightmare Wheel or Metal Reflect Slime or 2 Tiki Soul or 1 Tiki Soul 1 Imperial Custom or Zoma the sprit and wait for your opponent to bleed to death. Cursed Circle is also an option here.

Cannon Solider abuse

If you can get Cannon Solider, Imperial Iron Wall, any tuner on the field and Quilbolt hedgehog in your graveyard then that�s an OTK. This can be set up using Lavaival chain, Foolish Burial, Call Of The Haunted, Monster Reborn and Mask of Darkness.
We know how to slow the opponents winning conditions and how to create our own so now:

URIA LORD OF SEARING FLAMES
Level 10, Fire, Pyro Atk 0 DEF 0
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by sending 3 face-up Trap Cards from your side of the field to the Graveyard. Increase the ATK of this card by 1000 points for each Continuous Trap Card in your Graveyard. Once per turn, you can destroy 1 Set Spell or Trap Card on your opponent's side of the field. Spell and Trap Cards cannot be activated in response to this effect's activation

This is our boss monster his attack can easily go 10,000 +. While the priority rule is in effect he is safe from cards like Bottomless Trap Hole because when you summon him, activate his effect then chose any set card and your opponent cannot play anything in response and misses the window. But he is not safe from Solemn Warning or Judgement RUN 0-2

Xing Zhen Hu
Trap, Continuous
Select 2 Set Spell or Trap Cards on the field and activate this card. As long as this card remains on the field, the selected Spell or Trap cards cannot be activated

Royal Decree
Trap, Continuous
While this card is face-up on the field, negate the effects of all Trap Cards on the field except this card.

Because Uria is weak to Solemn Warning I would not recommend summoning him without one of these cards on the field. You may think Royal Decree would go against this whole deck but not always. Use it only as a precursor to summoning Uria so he is safe from negation cards. RUN 3 Xing Zhen Hu or 2 Xing Zhen Hu 1 Royal Decree.

Reasoning
Spell Normal
Your opponent declares a monster Level. Then pick up cards from the top of your Deck until a monster that can be Normal Summoned is picked up. If that monster is the same Level as the one declared by your opponent, send all picked up cards to the Graveyard. If not, Special Summon the picked up monster and send the remaining cards to the Graveyard.

Monster Gate
Spell CardSpell Normal
Tribute 1 monster on your side of the field. Pick up cards from your Deck until you pick up a monster that can be Normal Summoned, and Special Summon it. Send any other cards picked up to the Graveyard

Both of these are used to add a crazy amount of continuous trap cards into your graveyard to power up Uria, their own effect is pretty good too! RUN 1 OF BOTH.

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by Tributing 2 monsters on your opponent's side of the field, and is Special Summoned to your opponent's side of the field. This card inflicts 1000 points of damage to the Life Points of this card's controller during each of his/her Standby Phases. If you Special Summon this monster, you cannot Normal Summon or Set a monster during the same turn

This card is great because it tributes the opponents monster, AKA pays them AS COST. Your opponent cannot negate their destruction in any way he can only block special summons. Lava Golem�s level means he is hard to be used as a synchro or Xyz material. Combine his burn effect with a good stun set up for major damage! RUN 0-3

Metal Reflect Slime
Card Trap, Continuous
After activation, Special Summon this card in Defense Position; it is treated as an Effect Monster Card (Aqua-Type/WATER/Level 10/ATK 0/DEF 3000). this card cannot attack. (This card is still treated as a Trap Card.)

3000 def the perfect amount for holding back Lava Golem! RUN 3 if you�re running Lava Golem.

Zoma the Spirit
Trap, Continuous
[I[After activation, Special Summon this card in Defense Postion; it is treated as an Effect Monster Card (Zombie-Type/DARK/Level 4/ATK 1800/DEF 500). If this card is destroyed by battle, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK of the monster that destroyed it. (This card is still treated as a Trap Card.)[/i]

Summon Lava Golem that�s 1,000 burn then on your opponents next battle phase summon this. If he attacks that�s 3,000 burn... 4,000 total! Or suicide this on Lava Golem on your turn to force the issue!
Can also be used as an easy syncrho or Xyz material. RUN 3

Tiki Soul
Trap, Continuous
After activation, Special Summon this card; it is treated as an Effect Monster Card (Rock-Type/LIGHT/Level 4/ATK 1000/DEF 1800). (This card is still treated as a Trap Card.) While this card is treated as an Effect Monster, if another Trap Card you control that is treated as a monster would be destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to your Graveyard, you can Set it on the Spell & Trap Card Zone instead

If your opponents plays MST on zoma or Metal Reflect Slime you can chain this card. This cards effect does not miss its timing like that and your zoma or metal slime will be reset. RUN 3

Tiki Curse
Trap,Continuous
After activation, Special Summon this card; it is treated as an Effect Monster Card (Rock-Type/DARK/Level 4/ATK 1800/DEF 1000). (This card is still treated as a Trap Card.) While this card is treated as an Effect Monster, if another Trap Card treated as a monster battles an opponent's monster, destroy the opponent's monster after damage calculation.

His effect is only really useful when combined with Tiki Soul so I don�t really like this card. If you do run it you need more Soul�s the Curse�s. Run 0-1

Imperial Custom
Trap Continuous
Face-up Continuous Trap Cards cannot be destroyed, except "Imperial Custom". You can only control 1 "Imperial Custom"

The card that makes this deck even remotely playable. Opponent plays Heavy Storm chain all your continuous traps but chain this last and save every single card! While this is one the field your trap monster cannot be killed by effect or battle. RUN 3

Starlight Road
Trap normal
only when an effect is activated that would destroy 2 or more cards you control. Negate the effect and destroy that card. Then, you can Special Summon 1 "Stardust Dragon" from your Extra Deck

Our anti Heavy Storm. Very important you get an Imperial Order, Starlight Road or Tiki Soul set ASAP RUN 2-3

Nightmare Wheel
Trap Continuous
Select 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, the selected monster cannot attack or change its battle position. During each of your Standby Phases, this card inflicts 500 damage to your opponent. When the selected monster is removed from the field, destroy this card

Use on Lava Golem or an opponent boss monster for some stall and burn! Run 2-3

Fiendish Chain
Trap, Continuous
Select 1 face-up Effect Monster on the field. Its effect(s) is negated, and it cannot attack. If it is destroyed, destroy this card.

This card will save your ass countless times. Also remember if your opponent tributes or synchcro summons with the target this card stays on the field ready for a Uria summon! RUN 3

Mist Valley Soldier
Winged Beast/Tuner/Effect Atk/1700 Def/300
While you control this face-up card, any opponent's monster that battles this card, but is not destroyed by the battle, returns to its owner's hand at the end of the Damage Step

Use this with a level 4 trap monster an easy level 8 or rank 4! Run 2-3

Call Of The Haunted
Trap, Continuous
Select 1 monster from your Graveyard and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. When this card is removed from the field, destroy the monster. When the monster is destroyed, destroy this card

Use this to resummon Sangan, Sync with mist valley for level 7 search for uria. If you sync with using a monster target by this card the card stays on the field so you can use it as uria food.

Imperial iron wall
Trap, Continuous
Cards cannot be removed from play.
This will totally block there effects and you can then run cards like

Plaguespreader
Zombie/Tuner/Effect Dark lv 2 Atk/400 Def/200
You can return 1 card from your hand to the top of the Deck to Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. If you do, remove this card from play when it is removed from the field.

Quillbolt Hedgehog
Machine/Effect Earth Lv2 Atk/800 Def/800
If you control a face-up Tuner monster, you can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. If this card was Special Summoned this way, remove it from play when it is removed from the field.

Cannon Soldier
Machine/Effect Dark lv4 Atk/1400 Def/1300
Tribute 1 monster to inflict 500 points damage to your opponent

If plaguespreader and Quillbolt cannot be removed from play you can re use them in a loop as much as you want! Add Cannon Soldier for an OTK!

Macro Cosmos + Vanity�s emptiness + Royal Decree. Macro Cosmos removes all cards from play and vanity�s emptiness stops all special summoning use this combo to shut down a deck that relies on too much special summoning or graveyard activity. Mask of Restrict + Lava Golem. As of yet there are not synchro or Xyz monster Lava Golem can be used for, so protect Lava Golem pretty well. This shuts down Monarchs.

Non fusion area. Side this for a heros match up

Tuner Scheme. Steal a powerful synchro monster! The most troll of a lol card out there! Side only in case your opponent is not using synchros.

Monarchs, with all the easy to summon trap cards some monarchs would notbe a bad idea.

Trap Eater its very important to side 3 trap eaters in case your opponent is running Royal Decree.

I do apologies for the poor format of this post. I did it all by typing on a phone about half way through I realised it was not possible to do a full guide on a phone but I finished it anyway. Will add more cards and nice-en it up next time Im on a pc.

1) Spell check titles
2) dont post guides on phones
3) don't make multiple threads with the same subject matter within minutes of each other
4) You missed the best trap that makes uria a good surprise rogue gimmick easy game 1 win, Magical Hats. Card is the best.
