Default Vennominaga Turbo v2

This deck has gone through many changes in playstyle and card lineup. I think I've finally found a semi-competitive build. Here's my newest version; with a focus on speed, building up the graveyard, Worm plays, and big spike damage.

This build focuses purely on stacking the grave with reptiles, and getting out Vennominaga as fast as possible. In between, you have Worm King/Worm Queen/Worm Zero to keep the pressure on & beat down the opponent, and Worm Xex/Worm Yagan to bounce their boss monsters.

One of my favorite opening plays is: Normal Summon Worm Xex, effect, dump Worm Queen to the graveyard. Viper's Rebirth @ Worm Queen. Worm Queen's effect, tribute herself to Special Summon another Worm Queen (won't be destroyed in end phase by Viper's Rebirth).

The only glaring weakness of this build, is the complete lack of defense. Only blow-up power I have is Worm King and Dark Hole, with Worm Yagan for bouncing. I've found this to be a problem vs Heros when they go for The Shining. Considering putting in Worm Apocalypse for s/t hate.

I tried your deck out a bit. It's a good deck. Summoned Venomminaga a couple of times as well. I just have a couple of changes you might want to consider:

-2 Snake Rain (3 gave me dead draws, 1 is good enough.)
-2 Hand Destruction (It is handy but you need more destruction cards.)
-3 Upstart Goblin (Don't like this card, and duality is better.)

+1 Heavy Storm (Always good.)
+1 Dark Hole (Staple. Works with Venomminon)
+1 Torrential Tribute (Works with Venomminon)
+2 Damage Condenser (Works awesome with Vennominon.)
+2 Pot of Duality (Works good in this deck at 3.)

And add some of the Xyz in the extra deck. You got plenty of space and you got a fair amount of lvl 4 monsters so lvl 4 Xyz's can make your deck better. For example Utopia can block potential attacks on a weaker Vennominaga.

Yeah, I've gotten some bad draws with Snake Rain at endgame. I'm uneasy with only running 1 though... it's soo good! lol. Maybe I'll try 2 first.

The rest of the suggestions I deff agree with. I know I needed more staples, but I'm bad with deciding what to remove haha.

& oh wow, I forgot about Damage Condenser! That's awesome for Vennominon.

Heavy Storm hasn't helped me since I work off traps quite a bit. Evil Dragon is always a dead draw except at endgame, and Trade-In... ehh I'm not feeling it enough to run 2.

-1 Snake Rain is a possibility. I love drawing it early and often, but late game it sucks. :/ 2 might be the magic number, 1 didn't work too well.

Additional Comment:

Wellll, considering a Prohibition/Decree would completely cripple this deck, I suppose I do need Heavy Storm, or at least an MST or two.

Suggestions?

As much as I love Ananta, I don't like the synergy between it and Vennominon/Vennominaga, so I'd suggest omitting it for Gorz, or something of that ilk.

Yeah, I'm not much of a fan or Ananta myself. He's reptile/Trade-In bait, and can save you in endgame once in a while though.

I'll test Gorz>Ananta tomorrow and see how it goes.

I like that you're using Venoms, nice deck. How quick can you usually get Venominaga out?

I've been trying to make a Venom Burn deck w/o Venominaga for a while now, just haven't even came across anyone with it to trade. No luck with packs that's for sure.

I can get her out in my second turn if I have a good hand. Snake Rain, Future Fusion, Rise of the Snake Deity, Limit Reverse, something like that. I usually like to wait till I have about 3500atk worth of reptiles in the grave, though. I could definitely use a bit more consistency, though.

Venom Burn definitely sounds interesting, not very easy to make though.

2nd turn is beast! But yeah I'd bet she wouldn't have too much atk...

As for the Venom Burn, it isn't too bad, Ultimate Offering makes things easier and gives me quick access to Venom Boa, which otherwise is total crap. Haven't completed it yet since I don't really have an answer to Agents/DW bringing out a good first couple turns.

If I happen to get Snake Rain and Future Fusion in my opening hand, I can get her up to like 5500 when she's out second turn. Rare, but it happens. :P

Would Double Summon help your Venom Burn?

& ehh not many decks have an answer to that anyways lol.

Yeah haha it's unfortunate. It's pretty much either take out a staple and lose power, or take out a vital support card and lose power. T_T

Maybe take out one of the Lion Alligators for a Snake Whistle? Seems like it could help thin the deck and set up for more plays, especially with Reptilianne Gardna.

You could afford to lose the Worm base and rely instead on a speedier and less bulky mill engine for fishing out Vennominom/going for Ananta. For instance, 3 Ryko/Charge.

Ah a fellow Venom user but your deck could use a few tweaks

There are only 2 Worms that are worth using 3 Yagan and 3 Xex and a cataros for consistency
Run 3 Lion aligators no matter what
The repptilian engine doesnt work very well because they have low attack venom decks stall with there big attack till they get Naga out and win
Des Feral Imp is awful
Run 3 offerings you + so much with it
Run 3 Snake Rain you need it without it you pretty much lose
Future Fusion isnt needed because Snake Rain does the job better
If you use POD that means you cant expload as much
Run a Damage = Reptile or 2 you need the Minion as soon as possible
And a bribe or 2 to kill off Warning

Des Feral Imp is not awful. What happens if Deity gets Hand/Card Destruction'd... just scoop? lol. It's a side at the absolute least.

Any reccomendations on what to replace the Reptiliannes with?

& also does Damage = Reptile > Damage Condenser? Condenser seems more useful but I haven't tested either.

This is my build and also condenser isnt as good as Damage = Reptile, reptile can be used multiple times and you dont always have a hand
Also i run 2 naga so Imp isnt needed and worst comes worst you can minion beat your opponent

Ahh I see. I like your build a lot, thank you for the advice good sir.

No problems with speed since you don't run Upstart or PoD? I was considering switching the two since PoD hurt me a few times in testing.

& also I never realized Damage = Reptile was continuous! T_T Silly me.

Actually it can be a bit inconsistant so i added 3 reckless and 1 gold sarc im changing the deck every day
Its my first tourney with this deck tomorrow so im hoping it will do well

Also, what do you think about Snake Whistle? It seems really good for the deck, but with Damage = Reptile existing and not a lot of S/T space, I can't find a place for it.
