According to Wikipedia's MLP FiM page, "My Little Pony: Equestria Girls" will be a Movie hitting theaters in June.
I have been able to find little corroborating evidence of it, though.

This may or may not change your opinion <-- Either way, watch it. Cause it's not a trailer or anything.

It seems like the intention is to put Twilight in a situation where she has to choose her new home over her old one. This could remove her from FiM Forever.
Additional Comment:
On the other hand, Twilight has always been FiM's Main Character, and the others really don't have arcs to speak of (Rarity's could be called complete as of her trip to Canterlot, and Rainbow Dashes was well on its way as of the Wonderbolts Academy). The only characters remaining with any kind of story arc before them is the CMC, and I would not put it past Hasbro to ditch them, and all of the rest of Equestria to go Equestria Girls in Season 4. *Shudders* That is worst case scenario "Hasbro hates the Fandom" stuff, though.

Maybe they'll be back to ponies by the end of the movie?

Aaaaand /mlp/ has #****hasbro, #****hasjew, #****DHX twitter thingies running now.
I will admit that as a casual fan--mainly of the Dragonshy ep, the one where Spike went to find himself with the other dragons, and the Canterlot Wedding--I wish the film took a more PPG movie approach: a sensless **** of Elements of Harmony magic-slinging (vs the senseless **** of violence that the late, great Ebert used to describe the PPG movie).

The fandom. Seriously, nearly all of my top five best friends are bronies, I love the art, the Fictions, the music, the videos, memes, the Fanponies, the analysis, the reviews, and anything else that bronies do because they are passionate about MLP.
I think that one day, Bronies will change the world.

Personally, it's Twilight Sparkle and the action the show provides that keeps me going.
