banning delver?
I've been hearing rumors that Delver of Secrets and Snapcaster Mage may be getting the ban hammer. What do you guys think? Will they get banned? Why or why not?

4x a year, Wizards and EDH officially announce which cards are banned or unbanned. So, this is the 2nd quarter where they'll announced the B/R/L lists.

What is Delver's and snapcaster's win % overall?
If it's like Jace then ban, if it is like Faeries I don't care then.

I think blue being able to win games again is pretty sweet.
Jace won games, but he was.. BUSTED.
A 3/2 flier is small potatoes.
A 2/1 that gives any instant or sorcery Flashback; Can see how that might be slightly overpowered...
I REALLY wish they'd wait a little bit into the next rotation. It's not like swords are going to be around much longer. If so many people could no longer give protection from 2 colors of their choice (dependent on the sword in question) things, I feel, would be different with the Delver situation.
Snapcaster is always gonna be able to flashback. Nuff said? Banworthy? Not sure...
If it actually happens, I'm finally shelling out for my Force of Will set and rolling with the Legacy crowd.

If anything that would be banworthy it would be Ponder, but even then it isn't an effect where it ruins a whole format. It is only banned in modern because of Pyromancer/Storm combo decks.
Delver and Snapcaster have both evolved around that card for most of the time they've been in standard. Without it, they lose what they are focused around. Delver will be based on luck, where cards like Vapor Snag, and Galvanic Blast (where almost every deck runs 1 and/or the other) can interupt it effectively, especially with its lag without stacking the top 3. Snapcaster is weakened a little without Ponder as he isn't sticking to his 3rd turn play. He will go back to the flash ability, which he doesn't have many options in the early game.
Additional Comment:
Comparing Delver to Faeries:
Spellstudder Sprite = Snapcaster + Mana Leak
Mistbind Clique = Restoration Angel
Bitterblossom = Delver
Thoughtseize = Gitaxian Probe
Cryptic Command = Snapcaster + anything
Sower of Temptation = Geist of Saint Traft
Ponder = Ponder
and most of these cards in delver are weaker to faeries.
Additional Comment:
BTW this discussion has already started in the rumor forum.

Checked results.
Big no on this, sucks that it is the best deck, wait for rotation since a lot of pros to this deck will leave with M12 and scars.

If anything will be banned from standard, it's Ponder.

Pretty sure nothing will be banned just yet as delver is unquestionably the dominant standard deck but it isn't overpowering and has bad matchups.
Stoneforge Mystic and JTMS got the axe because the best deck against a JTMS and Stoneforge type deck was the mirror, everyone else struggled to even stay even.
If you play legacy I say gristelbrand has a solid chance to get the axe, maybe a bit prematurely but I think wotc widely recognizes it was toxic to the format and might just ban it out of principle.

I don't pay a lot of attention to Legacy outside of Pauper Legacy on Online. Is he just winning games too hard?

I've heard that the top decks of legacy are doing Show+Tell, Reanimator, etc. as being the only decks to fight each other off.

Well that's what happens when cards that continue to be degenerate, Show and Tell and cheap reanimator spells, are around.
He makes it near broke if not there at this point.
