Any version of the real Superman is overkill outside of the cartoons and (select) movies.

If going by the flight aura argument, his power would at least be greater than that of Pre-Kaio training Goku, and possibly Raditz as well (given that Raditz never presented a flight aura), meaning it's plausable that he could easily solo any of the pre-DBZ characters.

Videl,who is a common human-apart from th flying-,fought well against him.
Goku is already a superhuman at the start of DB.So,Suppa is soup.

Vegeta stated that Spopovich's blast was suppressed, which heavily implies he wasn't trying for the entire fight.
Spopovich and Yamu are also shown to have flight auras when they fly off to Babidi, which is something even Raditz was apparently too weak to have.
Spopovich was probably suppressed to less than a hundredth of his real power just to make the fun more fight for him.
Guys like him and Reacoom enjoy toying around with all of their opponents and taking seriously damage from them on purpose. |

I find the whole flight aura argument without standing. There's absolutely no indication either one of them is anywhere near goku or piccolo at the 23rd.

Except that Toriyama showed consistency with the flight auras, as Videl was shown not to have one when flying at full speed. |
