Inzektor ex-stag
Can inzektor ex-stag take facedown monsters??
So exstag has red eyes Metal Dragon and inzektor giga mantis on it, what is its attack ?
When exstag has equips on it, and I overlay for gaia dragon, do the equip cards stay on or go to grave?

Yes. It doesn't state that the monster must be face-up.

Note that the monsters will be equipped face-down and you cannot flip them face-up.

Posting the new questions in a new post, or reply to this one, would have had them noticed earlier.
2) It depends on the order in which they were equipped. Inzektor Giga-Mantis, then Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon = 3800. REDMD, then IGM = 2400.
3) The Equip Cards are destroyed.

2. No it doesn't. Giga-Mantis changes the original ATK, not the current ATK. So regardless of the order here, the ATK will be 3800.
