Help getting back into the game for a good reason, need help
Hello, I haven't been playing for a while, and now I want to get back into the game, since wizards announced the team world championships, there are gonna be 3 tournaments, and the winner of each gets a plain ticket. I need some help, I noticed that the top decks right now are Delver, RG Ramp, UB control, what would you recommend? Which one do you think is better? Why? Im currently deciding between Delver and UB control since I'm pretty much familiar with UB from last years format, but Delver doesn't really play fair in my opinion, it has so many options. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Delver is probably the best between the two for you to just pick up and play. UB right now requires you to make meta dependent choices on md and sb and isn't very forgiving. Delver on the other hand is fast, and perfectly capable of facerolling an opponent even if you don't know what they're doing game 1.
Basically both decks are viable, but one is much easier to play without extensive testing and refining for the meta.
I'd go with delver, plus alot of the delver chaserares set you up to build modern delver and legacy delver. Delver is pretty much a deck in every format atm.

You don't have to do UW Delver, you can do RU Delver (which is what I use) or UB, UG, RUG Delver, etc.
I rather stick with the UW Delver that has Invisible Staker and I think you should use Runechanter's Pike over the swords, or just use one sword, two Runechanter's Pike, and a Batterskull.
I'm not going to say UW Delver Spirts is bad, but from my experience, it is easy to kill if you just use Whipflare, DoJ, etc. and you need to spend money on Seachrome Coast and Darkslick Shores and both cards are pricy. Also, I think the deck uses Geist of Saint Traft and that card isn't that sort of great right now since it gets easily blocked and the 4/4 Angel token, while good because it takes out a 1/5 of your opponent life, isn't worth it right now.
Of course, I'm the only one in my locals that uses Whipflare, so UW Delver Spirits is good too

It's just that I have all the lands from the previous format, so they're not a problem, I have to get snapcastes anyway, and I'm thinking to go with 2 swords and 2 pikes in UW delver. Still , UWB Delver spirits ( similar to Jon Finkels build in the PT top 4 ) seems steady enough, the flashback makes the op use 2 removal spells on 1 card. I just can't make up my mind between the two. And what about the mirror match ? There will be at least 3 more delvers. So the choices pretty much are : UB control , Esper Spirits , UW Sword Delver.
here is the list of decks that I fear at locals:
Delver Esper Spirits
UW Delver
RG Ramp
BW Tokens

I'd say its a tossup between the two delver lists.
BW tokens has a HARD time against Sword of War and Peace.
RG ramp requires you to get huntmasters and I don't feel the deck is strong enough though it does have a solid matchup against delver (which is why it did so well)
Lingering souls is absolutely backbreaking and I certainly see the appeal to esper Spirit delver due to this card.
