There's no official confirmation about Favreau so far but fairly safe to say we can trust all the rumours n wut not - besides likely possibility - wonder if anymore of Starks Associates will appear in here as well at some point in upcomin movies ...

I'm quite pleased with the film so far but I have to admit I am intriguied and interested and admit its got my expectations goin - esp for Mr Keaton as Vulture..

I mean it's nothing new to say that the MCU has a villain problem. The best shared universe in the biz does a lot of things right, but it just can't (or maybe won't) create exciting and fleshed out villains. You wouldn't think someone like the Vulture, an old man in a bird suit who gets beat up by a 15-year-old, would be the one who can break the trend; but in the hands of someone like Michael Keaton, it just might. Keaton has slowly been opening up about his role in the highly anticipated Spider-Man: Homecoming and he teased that his take on Vulture won't be that of a standard villain.

Michael Keaton's next big movie is The Founder, the true story of how Ray Kroc turned McDonald's into a fast food empire. Despite the less than ethical ways Kroc makes that happen, in a talk with Variety Keaton spoke about his characters always have some sort of likeability. And apparently the Vulture will find a way to connect with people as well.

Quote:
Yeah, Vulture, recently. But not to give too much away, but interestingly, he is and he isn't, that character. He's a really interesting --- and more interesting than I thought --- villain because there's parts of him that you go, 'You know what? I might see his point.' Really, really. It makes it interesting to play.
The best villains are always the ones that you agree with (or at least see their point of view), so hopefully this is a good sign that the Vulture is heading in the right direction. Spider-Man fights some real relatable guys, and though he may not look it, the Vulture isn't too hard to understand. The villain is just really ridiculous on the surface.

Though there have been dozens of different iterations of his character, the basics are that he's a brilliant crotchety guy who gets screwed over by the powerful corporation he works for. He then swears his vengeance and turns to a life of crime by wearing a green bird suit.

Ok fair enough information on what exactly is the deal with the MCU version is still being under wraps, but Homecoming as already gone a long way to bring the Vulture to the big screen. He's been appropriately changed to fit into the real world (by MCU standards), by ditching the feathers for a more high-tech look. Just judging from the trailers alone, not only is he more impressive to look at, but he's also threatening -- something the comic version has never really been able to boast. While that doesn't mean he'll be a great villain by any means, it's at least a start.

MCU villains have always been a problem. Genrally (barring Loki) they don't bother to flesh out the villains maybe because they usually end up dead.

Well speaking of Villians - esp in the trailer - even tho this moment lasts just a second, but when it possibly gives us our first look at one of Spider-Man: Homecoming's supporting villains, The Shocker - you know when The man shooting that energy blast looks like Logan Marshall-Green, who was reported to be playing an antagonist. Not only that, but he's wearing a yellow, waffle-pattern shirt, which is the same costume design Shocker has in the comics. That points towards Marshall-Green definitely playing the MCU's Shocker, right?

Not so fast, because in the international trailer, Bokeem Woodbine is seen not only using a similar energy weapon, but also wearing a yellow shirt. As it weird as it sounds, this could mean that Spider-Man: Homecoming will have multiple Shockers. Going back to that quick snippet from the main trailer, we also see Donald Glover's character, showing that whoever he's playing is connected to these criminals.

SO Vulture and Multiple Shockers? I mean go figure esp since Iron Mans inc in here but still quite a high villian count for young Spidey to contend with .... which actually makes a difference from most initial 1st films where they tend to focus on one villain then move on to two + in the follow ups...

Marvel have been revealing more toys and it seems the Iron Man armour in this movie has a colour scheme inspired by Ultimate iron Man

The highly anticipated Spider-Man: Homecoming is still months away, but when it finally does swing onto the big screen Tom Holland's Peter Parker won't just have The Vulture to contend with. Classic Spidey villain Shocker is also out to cause some trouble. And though we've already got an idea of what his costume looks like thanks to some set photos, that was all pre-CGI stuff. The baddie will end up looking much different by the time the movie rolls around, but now we might have a better idea of what we can expect to see.

Thanks to Eric Cameron and his Instagram account, we now might have our best look at Shocker's costume yet. Cameron attended a private event held by Hasbro, where the toy company revealed their next slate of toys -- the true ultimate spoiler of superhero movies -- for the next several months. In addition to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming had a large presence, and Cameron was able to snap a picture of some promotional material that happened to feature Shocker.

Now seeing as how this is for a toy, this costume may not be the exact same version that ends up in the film, which could go through some substantial changes before the release date. But the toy version will at least be in a similar vein to the movie, and should lay a foundation for what we're in for. With that in mind, this costume is definitely for the Shocker. It has his signature yellow quilt patches with more orange and blue thrown in (Shocker never did have the best sense of color). He also has a pair of high-tech looking goggles over his face. Finally, what would Shocker be without his vibration gauntlets, which here look much bigger and cover his whole hand. The costume does look kind of lame, but then again, so is Shocker.

In Homecoming, Herman Schultz aka Shocker is played by Bokeem Woodbine, but to what extent exactly is still unclear. Michael Keaton's Vulture will be the main Big Bad of the superhero film, and how Shocker plays into the grand scheme of things is unknown. Is he a Spider-Man 3-type villain that shares the load or is he more like the Rhino in Amazing Spider-Man 2, where he has nothing to do with the plot and just serves as a body for Spider-Man to fight?

We'll likely get better looks at Shocker as we get closer to the release date of Spider-Man: Homecoming, which hits theaters on July 7, 2017.

Glad to see they haven't ditched the quiltman look completely

Additional Comment:

New trailer out, more Iron Man, Spidey in his orginal costume, more Vulture but apart from Ned and a couple of shots of Aunt may, vary little of Pete's supporting cast

Another trailer, the spidey suit should have been the Iron Spider suit at the rate it is going with all the gadgets. Getting a bit worried with the amount of Iron man in the trailers, it makes it look like they are trying a bit too hard to make this a MCU movie
