Also oh **** I didn't know Uryu ended up switching sides. Though this might be Kubo trying to sit up his destined battle against Ichigo. Of course he might be working as a double agent. Otherwise his reason for joining would make no sense.

New Chapter:
Ichigo gets brought back to the SS. And earns the respect of the Asauchi in a matter of seconds. Guess they remember who the main character is now. That and now that he knows he's a quincy. I probably has a means of fighting back now anyway (the basic Quincy bow).
It's also possible that since he technically lost the original Zangetsu during his fight with Aizen. He may have forgotten about his hallow nature (he never uses his mask again). Which may have been what Ichigo was mainly suppose to remember. Since his new Zanpaktou is a Hallow Type. And likely why he couldn't get one to respect him the first time.
