He isn't gay. Yubel was a girl, fused with a dragon to better protect the prince kid (Jaden's past self), dragon just so happened to be male. He was a boy... dub is not canon. And he wasn't fused with any dragon whatsoever. Dub. Is. Not. Canon.

Pretty sure SirDragonite was talking about how the concept and design of the Gem-Knights was meant to be a tribute to Judai's Elemental HEROes and Johan's Crystal Beasts. There's a running joke among fans about how Judai and Johan must be gay for each other. |
