Default Footsteps of the Goryo, Protean Hulk and Sedge Sliver

So with a Modern Protour on the way and the bannings announced this might be a bad time to ask this but it's been bothering me for months.
Why is it that all these cards have kept their value after they spiked after only showing up for one or two events? The Hulksteps deck showed up twice but never made top8, and the Sliver deck made top8 in its only event. This was about 2-3 months ago, and they haven't shown up since and are still holding their price.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows why.

there's many reason, some that I know:

Some cards spiked just because they scarce on secondary market (some dude buying in bulk for no reason at all).
After a hype, people that bought them on high price won't let them go before the price spiked again (unless they need money).
Once a card deemed as potentially playable in competitive play they rarely drop to their previous price unless the deck entirely dead.
Lastly Footsteps of the Goryo, Protean Hulk and Sedge Sliver only has one print.
