Default Faction Rules

Normally when you play a three-way match, one side has to be Fringe, and the other two are Good and Evil. However, my friends and I say whatever and allow any Faction. Also, when it is a two team/four people match, there can be up to 3 different factions on one team. (Ex. Fringe, Imperials, and Rebels) What kind of Faction rules in a game do you guys have?

No matter how many players, the only faction requirement is that your squad on takes up fringe and one other faction characters. I don't force people to use a pure Fringe squad, nor do I care if three evil squads or three good squads are fighting eachother-- even if they are the same faction.

If it is two on two, can one side use the two of the same Unique characters?

Like, can me and my friend both have a Boba in our army when we team up?

I would say no because just imagine it as one joint army. You aren't going to have two of the same Unique characters. Just my opinion though.

Technically, yes. But you could always make a house rule to not allow it.

If both Zeal & Sword don't mind if I use some of there texts. Basically if U have 4 players and after the skirmish starts & there R 2 Bobas then of course not because u started as enemies but as Zeal said if you announce it before the start of the skirmish then yes . Which is not to say if you & ur "partner" start off as enemies & don't have any of the same Uniques then you still can regardless of prior rules.

Default Factions

When players want to use the same Unique character, our gaming group usually holds bidding war ... where each player secretly writes down how much more points he's willing to pay for the character. The person who's willing to pay the most wins and gets to use the character.

Also on Factions ....
I've come up with a chart of what a squad should consist of based on the ratio of primary faction characters to fringe characters that can be included. This idea is based on several factors taken from context in Star Wars literature, movie and gaming sources.

Squad
Vong & Fringe: 3 Vong Characters for every 1 Fringe Character
Imperial & Fringe: 4 Imperial Characters for every 1 Fringe Character
Rebel & Fringe: No Restrictions
Republic & Fringe: 1 Republic to every 1 Fringe
Separatist & Fringe: 1 Separatist to every 1 Fringe
Sith & Fringe: 2 Sith to every 1 Fringe
Old Republic & Fringe: 1 Old Republic to every 1 Fringe
New Republic & Fringe: 1 New Republic to every 1 Fringe

New Republic & Imperial (REMNANT): 2 New Republic to Every 1 Imperial
