Default Liberators (Post TD08)

Liberators (Post TD08)
I decided that with the release of TD08 and TD09 next week, I'd start working on creating a somewhat FUN Liberator deck to mess around with until Set 10 in December.
I'm building Liberators because I'm a Classic Royal Paladin fan so I still get to keep my units like Blaster Blade, Alfred etc but use a different Clan. Great Silver Wolf, Garmore complments Gancelots breakride quite well, Any suggestions/fixes would be great.

Liberators
Format
: English
Quote:
Grade 0 (19):
1x Little Battler, Cron (starter)
4x Strike Liberator (Critical)
3x Flame of Victory (Critical)
2x Silent Punisher (Critical)
3x Armament Liberator, Gwydion (Draw)
4x Elixir Liberator (Heal)

Grade 1 (14):
4x Little Liberator, Marron
4x Halo Shield, Mark
4x Knight of Elegant Skills, Gareth
2x Future Liberator, Llew

Grade 2 (11):
3x Blaster Blade Liberator
4x Liberator of Silence, Gallatin
4x Liberator of Royalty, Phallon

Grade 3 (8):
4x Solitary Liberator, Gancelot
4x Great Silver Wolf Garmore

There's no sense in attempting Liberators until BT10, but if you insist, then you're way better off with Pomerugal (axe Gareth) and Cadeau (axe Garmore). You don't want your entire deck turning off just because you've got a Vanguard/field/damage zone without the required name. :/

Or you could gut the Liberator support and just play classic GP with Gance/Garmore, which works too. Lop, Dindrane, and Daggergal plays and all that.

There is "sense" in attempting Libs you just gotta think outside the box a little. Why would I want Liberator CBs when there aren't units out yet that can fully take advantage of it yet besides Cadeau? And his skill isn't really all that great. Cadeau may have the "Liberator" name but he's no Garmore, sure Garmore ain't no Liberator (yet) but he still complements Gancelots skill a lot better then Cadeau would and can hit good numbers and what is Daggergal?

Consistency. Marron, Phallon, and Blaster Blade are vanillas while Garmore is your Vanguard, and Llew is vanilla while you have more than 1 Gareth/Mark/Garmore/non-Lib Trig in play. That amounts to a whole lot of do-nothing that you should want to avoid. Yes, Cadeau is no Garmore, but he sees to it that your deck is actually working. Liberators sans Gancelot don't play nice with others, so if you actually want to play Liberators, then you have to bite the bullet and accept their terms.

Daggergal = Sleygal Dagger. Part of the alternative if you don't feel full Liberator at present is to your liking.

1 Kyrph
16 triggers

4 Gareth
4 Mark
3 Dagger
2 Dindrane

4 Beaumains/Gallatin
2 Lop Ear
5 filler cards

4 Gancelot
4 Garmore
1 Ezel

Something to this extent would run a lot better on a mechanical and practical level than what you've drafted here. Or you could be "that guy" and throw Gancelot into a Duke deck, winning everything forever.

Continuing to play RP until BT10 works too. No need to sell yourself short with an awkward turtle.

I think there is a fine line of mixture of the two Gancelot Liberator and Garmore units. I agree that Lop Ear is better in this deck to call out more units. Future Liberator, Llew is more than acceptable as his requirement is only Gold Paladin Vanguard and if you keep enough Liberators in your deck he can be boosting Garmore +10k.

What is the official ruling on Garmore when he break rides? Can the RG unit you call out be boosted by the +5k that Gancelot gives?

Sure can, since skills with the same activation timing can be used in any order. The unit called by Lop Ear can even get the +5K by applying Gancelot last.

effects are added to whats essentially a "Queue" and resolved in whichever order you want.

Like so.
1.Garmore Rides Gancelot -> add both Effects to the "Queue"
2.Resolve Garmore's ability -> CB(2) and Superior Call lop Ear Shooter
3.Lop Ear shooter's effect added to "Queue"
4.Choose and resolve Lop ear's effect -> Check top 3, see Lop Ear, Superior Call it.
5. Repeat 3 for the new Lop Ear
6. Repeat 4 see Dindrane, Superior call it.
7. Dindrane's effect added to "Queue"
8. Resolve it -> Soul blast 1 and draw
9. Resolve the last remaining effect in the "Queue" Gancelot -> give power to whichever units on the field at this point.

Keep in mind, however, you cannot call a Disciple of Pain with Garmore's skill at 3 Damage, take a damage with its skill, and then activate Gancelot's break ride.
