Sync Forever Apart Of The Game?
every time i try to get back into yugioh...i realize how much i hate it...its always the same deck i remember the happiest time when i enjoyed yugioh was 06-07 the whole yata-chaos deck....that was the prime of yugioh lol but now its syncing monsters and all this crap that i dont get and i feel takes away from the game...im gonna get back into yugioh after the world tournaments ends but what you guys think...would you have to have to have some kinda sync monsters to win or can it be done by simply using the monsters in ones deck

Off you go, then.

That deck made me quit the game. Only picked it back up about 2 months ago.
Worst. Lock combo. Ever

Go play Goat Format. There's a small collective out there who would love to play no synchro no XYZ decks with you. Best of all, some of your old favorites are still relevant there. Granted, you'd need a pile of fusions bigger than Kaiba's ego....
If you want to play at like locals or something, you pretty much have to play with Synchros or Xyz to win, unless you're playing an alternate win condition.

The game has to evolve to keep people interested and draw people in. I like how you didn't mention Xyz, just Synchros. If you keep hating the game, why keep trying to get back into it? If you don't like the game, accept that you don't like it and move on. Or use decks that don't use Synchors. Plenty of them exist. Or make your own. Complaining about it doesn't help you. Yu-Gi-Oh has almost always been a somewhat complex game and in reality, Synchros, etc are very simple to understand.

Ok. You're basically saying people should focus more on their Main Decks not their Extra Decks. But a Goat Control deck focuses on the Fusion Monster, Thousand-Eyes Restrict. Fusion Monsters reside in the Extra Deck. So basically you're saying Goat Control is awesome but people shouldn't use Extra Decks. That doesn't make sense.
Those two contradictory clauses, your inability to understand the simple concept of Synchro Summoning and your horrible grammar all point to your being an idiot.

If it makes you feel any better, there's always Gishki But seriously though, Synchros aren't hard to understand. Just read the rulebook.

I can understand why he wouldn't mention xyz and that's because you don't have to waste deck space in your favourite old school decks fro tuners so that it can be "good". I am on your side btw old YGO ftw! You can always play destiny hero plasma control he kills most meta decks. Last weekend I beat inzectors and hieratics with it.

3 + 2 = 5
Level 3 (Tuner) + Level 2 = Level 5 Synchro
4 = 4 = 4
Level 4 = Level 4 = Rank 4 XYZ
I don't see how that is complicated.

Perhaps the current meta made some people unable to do simple math?

You kids with your maths, and your tour guides, and your veilers, and your spores... Back in my day we didn't have all of these white and black cards... All we had were ORANGES! And VANILLAS! You ungrateful kids don't know the first thing about skill! Real skill was summoning Black Luster Soldier or Chaos Emperor Dragon! It wasn't easy getting light and dark monsters into the grave to summon them at all! Tele-DAD WAS THE GREATEST FORMAT OF ALL TIME! OF ALL TIME! Ungrateful brats, with your wind-up rats, your dragonflies and hornets, your red-eyes darkness metal dragons, your evolzar dolkkas, laggias, and soldas, your (insert random cards from the duelist genesis onward here)...

This. Any format where you have to pay $300 to play a deck that won't auto-lose is a horrible format.

You have a million decks are your disposal right now that don't auto-lose.
DinoRabbit, Chaos Dragons, Inzektors, Windups, DW, 6sam, LS/Twilight, Chain Burn, Final Countdown, Malefic Skill Drain, Piper Chaos... Thats only going for tier1/2 and theres some strong tier3-ish options like zombies that could easily break into the meta with more play.
During Tele-DAD you played Tele-DAD or you went home, it was really that simple. People tried anti-meta decks to counter Tele-DAD but nothing really every stood a chance. It was Tier-0 and everything else could go get ****ed. It was also VERY expensive.
If you had a Tele-DAD deck and didn't mind constant mirror matches the format was actually pretty decent since in a mirror match format like that skill usually trumped/had more value. Where as in a diverse format matchups and sidedecking for the meta matter more. Luck still trumps all in both cases but still.

You mean like the Tele-DAD format?
E-Teleport: $15 each
DAD: $50+ each
Stardust Dragon: $20 each
Goyo Guardian: $30 each
Destiny Draw + Malicious: $80+ a pair
These were average prices back then. And this was before Goyo, DAD, D-Draw and E-Teleport were Limited and Malicious Semi'd.
And considering Chairman's post of "you played Tele-DAD or you went home" sounds to me like Tele-DAD was the only deck that wouldn't auto-lose.
So...

From a skill point of view, TeleDAD was a good format. From a "playing the deck you want to play to be competitive and have fun" perspective, it very much relied on your being able to play TeleDAD and liking TeleDAD. If you couldn't buy it or didn't want to play it, competitive play wasn't worth the effort. You could have fun (sometimes) but little else.
