questions regarding rules on trainers, supporters etc as they relate to unlimited
I find myself scratching my head in sorting this stuff out
So here we go. In unlimited we have trainers, supporters, items, and stadiums all of which have undergone numerous rule changes over the years.
1. I have two supporter cards I am wondering about. Seeker and Professor Juniper. One is titled Trainer/supporter the other is titled supporter/supporter. What are each of them exactly under current rules?
2. How are those two cards affected by the following?
A. Item finder/ junk arm. Can they be taken out of the discard pile using either of those cards?
B. Spiritomb's pokebody Keystone seal? My understanding is that one can play stadiums when Spirtomb is an active Pokemon so I was wondering if one can play either one of these supporter cards as well?
C. Does Dark Vileplume's Pokemon power prevent you from playing them?

A card looks at other cards based on what types of cards were available at the time it was printed.
1. They are both "Trainer-Supporters" under current rules.
2A. those are two different questions. Item Finder treats everything as a Trainer. When it came out, there were no separate categories at all. Item Finder can get back Trainers, Items, Supporters, Stadiums... whatever.
Junk Arm came out when Supporters and Stadiums were their own type of cards. So when it says "Trainers", it does not mean Supporters or Stadiums. It can not get those types back. It can get back Trainer-Items or Trainers that do not have sub-categories of Supporter or Stadium.
2B. Like Junk Arm, Spiritomb came out when Stadiums and Supporters were different card types. Like Junk Arm, it does not affect Stadiums or Supporters.
2C. When Dark Vileplume card out, there were no distinctions. It would block all Trainers, Supporters, and Stadiums from being played.
