Okay thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I think its a strange way that they did the reboot, but I'm still enjoying it!

Ok so we have seen the new 52. The good and the bad they are droping six book and picking upsome. What do you think of the news of earth 2. Batman is not Bruce, Superman is killing people because Lois is dead. Helena wayne is robin. I was hoping to see more of the golden age charectres not more rebots of the curent ones.

I find the new 52 kinda boring, the 52 in 2006 were more interesting.

I can see that. But some of the reboot has been amazing. Batman is one that gets better each book. But for the most I find it to be bad out of the 52 I picked up 9 book have droped two and will most likley drop one more.

Well I'm enjoying the reboot over all, but six months have gone by and it seems to me that DC has not made good on any of their claims. Two of the main reasons I started reading in september was because I was promised "a new starting point" and "all new updated origin stories", so far I havent gotten either of those and six months is waaay too long to expect readers to wait for what they should have been given in the first issue. If I knew it was going to be like this I probably wouldnt have started reading in the first place. I mean their pretty much just picking up where they left off in the old universe. As far as the stories go they're pretty good, but as a reboot I think it has been a complete failure, and I'm starting to think it was nothing but a cheap trick to get new readers, because other than changing a bit of character history I dont really see how this is a reboot at all, at least for most books.

It may seem like I'm being overly negative but the fact that 6 titles are already being cancelled, which is about 10% of the new books, suggests to me that they didnt plan this as well as they claim. Personally I think what there doing with the whole earth 2 thing is just weird. We just started a new continuity and now their making another one on the side? I dont get it.

I dont think its strange they had multiple universes so I can see it again. What I dont under stand is did they forget that there is more then just the big three.

Actually I'll rephrase what I said. I dont think its weird that theres more than one universe in general, its that they just started this new one and they have bareley established what has happened and whats different from the old one. So its still a big a question whats going on in this universe and now theres another one thats supposed to be different then the one that we still don't know much about. I just think its too much at once and makes things even more confusing, but thats just the way I look at it.
Although I will say the story sounds cool. Its the one with The Huntress and Power Girl right?

So just read today that allen scott will be dc's new gay superhero. He is returning to the dcu in earth 2 and this is were we find out about the change. This upsets me I dont have a problem with gay characters, but not at the cost of some one who has been around since the 40's.

Yeah I don't have any problem with gay or minority/however you want to put it characters, but I always say they should just make a new character instead of changeng an already existing one. Thats not fair to anybody.

I'm loving the new 52. Detective comics, batman, batwoman, sucide squad, justice league and the 4 lantern books have all been golden.

The did a whole arc where we learn her new origin. There are some great moments and she has more depth then before. Without giving too much away she and deadshot have some sexual tention and joker's skinned face comes into play.

I met with Duane Swierczynskwi (writer of Birds of Prey) at a local signing. He said the character he most wants to incorporate is Harley Quinn. He had definite plans to do a Suicide Squad crossover. Since Poison Ivy was included in the comic, this seems VERY likely to happen.
