Could this be a transformation mistake?
If South Kaioshin isn't in Evil Boo's body anymore then why did he change into Buff Boo?
Wouldn't it be better if Evil Boo just shrinked into Pure Boo instead of transforming into Buff Boo.
If this isn't a mistake then where is South Kaioshin in Evil Boo's body?

The way I see it, Boo's transformation just reverted in stages.
Millions of years ago, Boo absorbed the South Kaioshin first, and then the Grand Kaioshin afterwards. Now when Mister Boo, who is essentially both those Kaioshin in Boo-form, was removed, Evil Boo turned back through those forms in reverse order. First the influence of the Grand Kaioshin, whom he absorbed last, disappeared. Then the influence of the South Kaioshin disappeared to, leaving him back in his original form.
Pure Boo -> Buff Boo -> Fat Boo
Evil Boo -> Buff Boo -> Pure Boo

He absorbed them in sequence, and even though they were ripped out as one, buu still reverted in sequence.
I think showing buff buu was used to show exactly how the different buu's came into being and clearly establish the power structure.

So, I was right that South Kaioshin disappeared when Evil Boo became Buff Boo, and then reverted into Pure Boo.

Hmm...
If Kid Buu absorbed Southern Kaioshin because he was a rival, then...
Kid Buu - 100
Southern Kaioshin - 90
Buff Buu - 190
Dai Kaioshin - 100-180 (he would have to be in this realm of power since he, as the leader, should be > SK and still powerful enough for Buff Buu to consider for absorption)
Fat Buu - 50-90 (I would probably have him around 70)
Super Buu - 150
Yeah, I still don't see how it's possible for Super Buu to be anything more than 1.5x-1.7x stronger than Kid Buu, since Buff Buu would max out at 190 and was stated to be > Super Buu.
Additionally, I feel that Super Buu's power increasing every time he got upset only further suggest that the additional power was coming from Kid Buu.
Also, if Good Buu is the remnant of both Kais, his power should be in the realm of 90-190 but he was still considerably weaker than SSJ3 Goku and Kid Buu.
Additional Comment:
And I've no idea why I posted this here...

The remnants must contain the original power of the individuals otherwise any Kai-influenced incarnation of Buu would have weakened over the eons and eons of being captured in that ball.

How do we know that the South Kaioshin wasn't removed from Fat Boo anyway? Fat Boo expelled the evil inside of him which was much stronger than him anyway, which could mean that Evil Boo had the South Kaioshin inside him. And it isn't Fat Boo who goes through the Buff Boo transformation, it is Super Boo which is technically just Evil Boo with Fat Boo absorbed. So maybe Fat Buu after he expels the evil within him only has the Dai Kaioshin within him? Just a thought.

Someone on Kanzenshuu has raised a good point about Buff Boo/South Kaioshin.

If that were true, then that means that Southern Kaioshin must remain within Kid Buu and the Kid Buu SSJ3 Goku fought is stronger than the original.
