Okay so I started playing yugioh at its inception and took a break for a few years. Now I'm trying to build a spell counter deck for a local tourney running the advanced format. For all of u who say spellcasters are aweful or cant stand up to any of the more popular archetypes... plz leave. I don't need that kind of criticism. What I do need is the kind of criticism that will help strengthen this deck. Thanks everyone!
Ok. So the point of this spell counter deck is to stall with Defender and/or Valkyria and SoRL while building counters with Recycle/Spell Absorption, Alchemist and CoD. Royal and Barrier are for draw power and Magical Blast is in case I somehow run thru my deck too fast. I'm running a pure spellcaster deck for Solidarity. Once i draw the tuner, summon Tempest/Arcanite and sweep for game. Alternately this deck functions as a typical lockdown with Secret Village and SDM. Further still, if someone can easily get thru my defenses, I can swap a few cards and pull a Reversal Quiz w/ pendant for the win. Some of my most obvious problems are my lack of tuners too many traps, and too many cards in general (is 47 too many?)
