Well, during that time, the kids used their Digivices to give Imperialdramon power. So maybe it was a powered-up Giga Crusher and in this movie, it was really how it looked like.

I thought it was pretty good. There didn't seem to be anything that was cut out. They kept the sounds (like the noise the Digivice makes) and they even kept the Japanese Digimon Adventure 02 logo!! What I really hated was the stupid music used for the Frontier dub, everything I bet was from that dub, even the evolution music. Bah... Save that stuff for the Frontier movie, it doesn't fit with the digital theme, dammit.

Well, all I can say is that I can't wait for the Tamers movies and I hope this time the original dub music from Tamers is used, if not the original Japanese.

...I still haven't seen Revenge of the Diaboromon. Hopefully I'll get to see it soon - from what I've heard, the dub is actually more faithful to the original than the fansubs for it are...

But in other, unrelated news, there's a lot of big stuff coming out in Japan in November. The full version of Digital Monster X-Evolution on DVD, the Digimon Accelerator Nature Genome, Booster 26, apparently another new V-Pet/digivice, the new Digimon World for DS, or at least more information about it, maybe an announcement for a Digimon game on the next-generation consoles, and DVR is hinting at there being some kind of big announcement, bigger than the one last year for X-Evolution.

I liked the Giga Crusher in the movie better... Imperialdramon Paladin Mode had lame screen time imo. Dissapointed at Josh Seth not being Tai's VA. The script was indeed better about the jokes. All in all, I liked it.

Celebi, what exactly do you mean by "full version"?

Five minutes got lopped off somewhere when it aired on television.

Why is it that Sorato is considered as "The Most Hated Couple of All Time" in the show?

Do they show Digimon seasons 1, 2, 3 on T.V? If so...what channel and time?

The dub was okay. I liked hearing all of the voices back, and the ones who couldn't make it had decent replacements.
I did not see it But I am aware of the fact that they changed Tai's VA. I am wondering however, who else, if anyone, had different a VA.

Well, I've seen it now. It was okay, but the way they did the credits in the beginning seems kind of tacky, but I guess for some reason they couldn't get ahold of the raw animation.

The only thing that really bothered me was all the added lines - sometimes it was obvious they hadn't been talking in the original, because their mouth wasn't moving. The dialogue that hadn't been added was very good, in terms of its faithfulness to the original. And no cuts except for a close-up of Imperial Dramon Paladin Mode stabbing Armagemon's head, although I could swear Diablomon being stabbed as shortened. And Mimi was saying something about lima beans, when in the original she had been talking about sake, or something.

...And it sounded almost as though Gabumon had a different voice actor, but I'm not sure.

I think it comes on Jetix and Toon Disney, but I don't know the times.

From a discussion on the Toon Zone forums:

Regardless, the news, titles, and airing sequence are correct, with one specific change: Revenge of Diaboromon will not be re-airing as originally planned.

Instead, they are jumping right in with Runaway Locomon on 10/2, with Battle of the Adventurers and Island of Lost Digimon, following over the next 2 weeks.

Hopefully, that should be enough credibility that Blanktoe is telling the truth. If that's not enough to convince folks, then all I can really say is to sit it out for the next 6 weeks or so and see for yourself.
That's strange that Runaway Locomon is coming before Battle of the Adventurers. I hope there isn't any continuity between the two movies that will get messed up.

I hear Runaway Locomon is pretty darn good. That's the one I'm looking forward to most.

The movies action was 20 steps ahead of the shows with I think better animation.

Of course. Animated movies will always have better animation than their tv series counterparts.

As for "as good", I meant the dubbing. >> Sorry for not clarifying.

Default Man it's just great

I never saw the dub of Revenge of Diaboromon on Toon Disney but I saw the original once I heard it aired on Toon. Cause I in Asia. I loved it. I liked the part near the end where Davis and Ken scream Veemon and Wormon and all the people move apart making a pathway leading to Veemon and Wormon. ANd one of the kid's scream E-kay! (spelling, I don't speak ***) the *** theme song for Zero Two starts playin' Veemon and WOrmon DNA. Brought back memories and it was just cool.

I was a big fan, still am to today. And just to show u how big of a fan I am, I read all 32 pages of posts today. And I joined to share my thoughts just when I saw this thread.

My favorite season was the 1st one. I liked the rest pretty much the same. Even though I didn't agree with the ending for 02. I had my own ideas for the coupling. :D And for the people that didn't know about the Mimi and I zzy thing. I think it started when the kids got split apart in the first season and Mimi and Izzy ended up together. That's probably what started the whole thing.

hahahahaha! funny.....

P.S. Shining Celebi, I've went to your website (with a little searching) read everything on it. I've also read all your posts on this thread. And one thing intrigues me.... How in the world do you know so much about Digimon? (I'm so jealous) And what's that thing on my name supposed to mean? Pojo Newbie...that make me steam!

EDIT: I did some web surfing and found out that this guy was conducting an project, project Shinsei to draw and produce their own digimon series and well click here for more information.

I may be wrong but I don't think we will see anything of project Shinsei because the last post in that thread was made in October 2003 and I doubt that Toei and Bandai would give the rights up anyway.

Sadly, since the end of Season 4 (which ruined Digimon for MANY people), a lot of people have known Digimon was going to end. Disney moved Digimon to cable (UPN, no less) so many fans couldn't watch. With its declining overall popularity, a 5th season of Digimon seems highly unlikely. I wouldn't mind seeing one more season, but Disney is...well, Disney. So I say, enjoy the movies, cause they might be (but pretty much are) the last bits of Digimon left.

In fact, we're darn lucky we got the movies. Disney could've ended it where it was without batting an eyelash

Only Japanese, unless you don't mind Hong Kong bootlegs with bad Chinese subs.

Can you say season 2?

xD. j/k. I know what you mean.

I think it is fine how it is. There really wasn't much more to be done. Until what, 3 I think? years later in season 2.
