Bggest CD collection maybe, but Qitozex's collection in total is far larger than mine.\
It's too difficult for me to answer without cluster****ing this thread with a massive list of albums, EP's, and singles.

I'm an information sorter, I can easily type the list out, it's that most don't want to read a list that long is why I don't post it, lol.

$50-$100. Sometimes more. I bid on auction lots (for the randomness), take advantage of sales and discounts, sometimes I happen upon job lots and garage sale boxes, and there's also the plethora of CD's I get each year from frinds and co-workers that are 'converting' or 'moving on'. There amazing bargain to be had for the patient and observant. There's also lots of new stuff coming out every month that I want.
EDIT:
Also, under the digital section, the "Various Artists and Compilations" sub-section were free samplers from Amazon MP3, which serve to fuel my experimentation.
Anyway, if you want the list, just say so, and I'll type it up.

That isn't too much. I only buy my CDs new, so that list would have cost me a few hundred dollars. I guess that is what I was expecting.
I would probably have a much larger physical music collection if I didn't absolutely detest pre-owned things. I think the only three pre-owned things I own are my car (because a sixteen year-old is getting a new car. Next car I buy will be new, though, unless mine gets destroyed in the next year or so.), my bass (because I didn't want to drop $500 on a hobby that I wasn't sure I would stick with. Again, my next one will be new.), and my backpack (because it was discontinued and way to awesome to not own).

Me? I don't care if you type it up or not. If you did I would probably read, but if you didn't I wouldn't miss it.
It sounds like you want to type it, honestly.

This is why RYM (and, to a lesser extent, last.fm) is such a great thing. <3

Actually, that last comment, I thought I was talking to CardShopKid, xD
But I have spent $580 on music since Dec. 25th. I prefer new things as well, but some things are terribly difficult to find new. And I don't just bid on random stuff, all pre-owned items I've bought were thoroughly inspected before being allowed to be sold, and further screened after purchase.
Then there's the matter of what my friends give me, :3

You know, I really should actually create one, but I'm not sure how I'd rate everything yet, but it would definitely be good to list what I have, and it's already been very helpful in my exploration.
Additional Comment:
Just a word of warning; this is gonna be a work in progress for a good while, especially if you guys want ratings and such, but I started on RYM, and so far have added A-C.
Though I'm going to have to cross reference some stuff, have quite a few things that aren't listed on there.

What do you guys think is the most futuristic song that you've listened to? By that I mean something that is WAY ahead of its time, something that may not even be released now or in the future.

I don't really consider any art to be ahead of its time.

I can't think of any to have ever existed in that sense.
Music as a whole is generally formed within communities and like minded people will flock together in this sense.
That's why you see certain movements pop up at certain times.

Right back at you.
Despite the wealth of knowledge on RYM, it's still very incomplete, so I'm asking around as to how to fill in some of the blanks.

I'm always silly, until someone pisses me off, which usually only happens in the YuGiOh section.
EDIT:
Okay, that's D-F.

You can add artist and release pages yourself. It's a community-built database.

That's what I was trying to find, where's the edit page option? Or whatever it's called on there. The closest I found was adding to the list of "bands I've seen" and stuff like that.
Additional Comment:
Finished through the letter "S" now, but boy, I've got a lot of additions to make to that site, compiling all that info is gonna take me a few weeks with all the other projects I'm currently part of.

Yo, this isn't a place to just slap up a youtube link and leave; you gotta actually talk about something.

The queue has a 500 artist limit, and it's almost always over at the moment, so best of luck on this pursuit.

Poke around some on this list and you'll pull up tons.
I'd also rec: McLusky/Future of the Left, Early Biffy Clyro, and Glass and Ashes for what's sort of been a pig**** revival—though, that's a stretch given the small number of bands I've seen engage the style. Still have the broken, dirty riffing and energetic shout-vocals, with some of the cleanliness and exploration that At the Drive-In and Refused ushered in for the twenty-first century as well. Maybe check eighties industrial rock bands as well, there's a lot of influence from that scene on Big Black too.

By the Three, this is proving nigh impossible to get anything through, but I am trying, adding the rest of my collection in the meantime. Then on to the wishlist, and then further on to start re-listening and rating.
