Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Thread
As of today, the D23 2009 event has finally anounced the Release date and the official title for the fourth epic adventure of pirates of the caribbean. The title " On Stranger Tides" from what I can speculate Jack will probably be in some competition against Barbossa. I wouldn't be too sure about that and the title does seem a bit odd. So what any of you guys excited or what?

He also hoped Verbinski would return to direct after his BioShock adaptation had been put on hold.[22]
At San Diego Comic-Con 2009, Bruckheimer stated he intends to begin filming in April and May 2010.[23] Rob Marshall entered negotiations to direct in August 2009.[24] Hollywood announced a possible steam punk flare in the fourth installment.[25]
On 9/11/09, at the D23 convention, the title was announced as "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" with Johnny Depp in full Jack Sparrow make-up.

WHY??? They've got the most popular and successful formula for pirate movies in decades! Why do they have to ruin it? Don' they think Jack Sparrow is entertaining enough? Does a new studio honcho have to make some random change so he can "mark his territory"?
No, wait -- now I get it. They're going to boldly go where our pirate game has already gone before. They already had sea monsters and whirlpools; now they're adding steampunk (submarines?). In the 5th movie, they'll have Viking longships! Bets, anyone? |

Meh, it MAY have a steampunk flavor, it may not. Either way, as long as Johnny Depp is in it as Captain Jack, who cares?

Affirm with Will there, As long as the Story seems to be good and Johnny Depp still as Jack Sparrow, nothing to worry about.
The last trilogy was great, just that the last film seem to be out of its pace.
