But back to Bleach. We wouldn't have so many characters and fights if just a few of them would die once in a while. I think that's what's really holding it back right now. It maybe wasn't such a big deal in the beginning, but if just this one thing was fixed, it may have sidestepped all the problems we are encountering. For example, if Kubo had been a little more bold in the beginning, right now we could have:

More dramatic tension
More time to focus on story elements
Fewer fights to write
More even pacing
Character development (nowai!) for surviving characters due to the deaths
Actually threatening villains
Toshiro getting killed by Aizen back in Soul Society

There's my two cents on the matter. Kill more good guys.

I must say I'm finding myself agreeing with you on many accounts. We'd certainly take the bad guys a lot more seriously if they could kill good guys. It would open up a lot of interesting plot points, too.

Yay!!!!!!!!! This is the best news all month. When will it be back exactly? I would have had HunterXHunter as the 4th best manga except they keep having those annoying hiatuses.

You know the fact we are discussing One Piece, Naruto, Fairy Tail, Jo Jo's Bizare Adventure, and HunterXHunter in the Bleach manga thread proves Bleach is as low as it can go.

lol u cant say the frights r to short but then say kill more people he has been kiiling a lot of people just not that many good guys. so u cant have it both ways . i think the frights will get longer now that all the espada seem dead r not thair just wait to grimejaw and the viads azien been waiting for join the fright more good guys should die then .

IT takes all the tension out of a fight if you know a named good guy is not going to die.

Hiyori must die. And stay dead.

true but what good guys have realy died b4 in a manga the only ones that come to mind r goko and that dose not count and L and some people might call L a bad guy . and to be fair hiyori is died all ready just like every one in s.s lol .

Oh, and where did I say the fights were too short? I wanted more even pacing. Some fights need to be longer, other fights don't need to happen at all, and fighting needs time to rest once in a while.

I don't think Bleach was ever beating Naruto at all. Naruto is just a better all around story and the fights actually make sense, while being perfectly paced.

Even if that is true, he gets us to read Bleach everytime there is a new chapter, so he must be doing something right. I believe that he is doing research on something epic that would change the world of Bleach. For example he might make Icigho dad team up with Aizen and reveal that Icigho's mom never died by a hollow but by S.S or she was a perfect Arrancar
