I like Iron Man, mainly because of the suits are cool looking. He probably has a suit to bust about anyone in his way. Not a huge DC fan, but it's either Superman or Green Lantern for me.

thats a super hero i think we can all realate to
Spider-Man has always been my all time favorite. Just someone almost everyone can relate to. Batman is a very close second.

Batman (his parents are DEEEAD)
Martian Manhunter (completely lovable)
Wonder Woman (great character in the right hands, great history in the right places)
Mystique (unpredictable, different, very interesting character, great in the right hands)
Rogue (again great in the right hands)
Wolverine (sometimes)

"A hero ain't nuthin' but a Sandwich."

I think that my favorite Superhero of all time has to be the main man, the most recognized Superhero of all time, the man who you THINK of when you hear the phrase...you know....

The Tick.

No, I'm kidding, it's Superman. He epitomizes the best parts of humanity and he's a classic. You can't call him the first, because he's not the first, but he's the best, so there.

I do like the DC "big guns" quite a bit, though I've never been overly enamored of say, Aquaman. But Bats, Wonder Woman, GL, Flash, Martian Manhunter have always been faves. Green Arrow though always struck a bigger chord with me.

On the Marvel side, there's just Spider-Man, and a close second the over-used Wolverine. Remember, I'm old enough to remember a time when he wasn't that big a deal.

Let's put it this way, of all the major superheroes, I can't honestly say that I "hate" any of them. Sure the X-Men are old and played out, but if say, Joss Whedon or Grant Morrison is writing them, I'm there.

I guess the only Superheroes I really can't stand are some of the original Image crew, notably Spawn and Shadow-Hawk. Spawn is the one "hero" that I love to hate. Shadow-Hawk, well, many of you don't know this, but waaaaaaaaaay back in the pre-internet days, that was my handle on many a modem based BBS, and the name was based on a super-hero character that I was working on at the time ( of course I was in High School ). It WAS my handle until Jim Valentino used it for his Image debut series. I'd love to say that he stole it from me, but I can't. I know I didn't steal it from him because I was using it pre 1991.

I think it's kind of obvious as to who my favorite hero is.

Hmmm I'd say between Either Batman or The Green Lantern

Batman because He was one of the few superheros that did not actually have any superpowers, yet he was still able to save many people. I mean if you actually had superpowers you really have only the choices of either become a superhero or villain or go into hiding and have serious issues. Batman actually made the conscious decision to put his own life at risk to protect others. He also had one of the coolest costumes and gadgets.

And Green Lantern as well, his power is unlimited (will power) yet limited (has to recharge the ring). He always has to think his way out of situations because he's dealing with cosmic threats on a very large scale. If he blows up the gigantic asteroid about to hit the planet, he's got to deal with the fallout from its pieces, so maybe that's not a good idea-and so on... Plus it's cool having to stop intergalactic criminals across an entire sector of space, instead of just one planet
