Shaman King TCG
My friends and I have recently started playing Shaman King TCG. Its pretty damn cool when you can buy a booster box for $30. Doesnt make a huge dent in my pocket. It is a shame the game didnt take off. And I have seen only 2 episodes of Shaman King. I wouldnt mind getting the whole series. But it is so hard to find here in the United States.

Hi there my friend!I don't believe it! Another person who still plays SK!Awesome.Looks like we are going to be the ones who will keep this thread alive. The SK anime is great indeed. It's pretty hard to find the DVD's though.Try watching SK online on Youtube or other anime-related sites like pisoga or animefuel.

Shaman King Anime
Yeah,
It seems very hard to get. I have only seen the 2 episodes that come with the 2 player starter deck with the TCG. Anyway, I will take your advice. Im hoping to locate the actuall DVDs. It sort of a collecter thing for me. I try not to buy box sets of anime series. I prefer individual. And hopefully we can get more people talking about Shaman King TCG. I is a very fun game.

Have you ever tried out other quickstrike system games(meaning Avatar and Pirates of the Caribbean)? They have the exact same rules as SK but they have changed the traits in order to be compatible with each other.

Tcg
I haven't actually tried either of those 2. I play MTG and that is about it. Shaman King is quite fun. So the other 2 are somewhat like Shaman King? How are the alike and how are they different?

The above mentioned games have the exact same rules as SK.But as i've said before UDE has altered the traits of the cards so they can be compatible with each other. The traits used are these:
STRIKES:bull,fox,lion
ADVANTAGES:mind,body,spirit
ALLIES(TEAMWORKS):light,shadow,dark
There are also a set of three special traits for each game.Pirates have sail, sword and cannon.I'm not familiar with the special traits of Avatar though.
Furyoku is named energy here(kinda makes sense, right?) and you start the game with three energy in each of your zones(instead of two in SK).
I would recommend you to play the online demo game of these games to get the feeling.

Tcg
Cool,
I appreciate the input. I will have to check it out. What is the website I should go to? And are there actually tournments being played? If they have actual tourneys. I will be much more interested.

Ude
Not a problem,
I think the advertisement has something to do with it. But not everything. Look at all the competition. It is hard to make a TCG success without properly supporting the fanbase. And sponsering tournies.

Hi there, energak! It's good to know that someone else still has SK cards around. The rarity is defined by the colour on the code of the card.So we have:
white for common
blue for uncommon
and yellow for rare.
There are also the "spectergram"cards which are extremely rare foil cards.
