Pretty much it's best options as a Physical Attacker. Brave Bird for 180 Base Power with Stab, but if you don't like the recoil, use Drill Peck... Quick Attack is nice, hits hard and can be any UU Reversaler's worse nightmare. Dodrio was BL in the 3rd gen, but one major change has, in my opinion, dropped it down a tier. That reason, the loss of a physical Hidden Power moves. With Hidden Power: Fighting, Dodrio use to be able to hit TTar as well as Steels hard, but now it is left with almost nothing for Steels, and Steel Wing for Rocks[not that it has wings...]. Don't get me wrong, he's still got awesome Attack and Speed stats, just not the greatest movepool. Pursuit can be handy over Quick Attack for weak Psychics or anything that would run away from this guy.

Do NOT put those extra 6 EV's into HP. With zero EV's and 31 in HP IV's, Dodrio maxes out at 261, leaving it with 1 HP after 4 Subs. Drill Peck To hit those Ghosts. Endeavor is great for Steels/Anything you know you won't KO with Flail. Use Endeavor, get em down to that 1 HP, most likely sacrificing Dodrio in the process, but sets up very easy KO for the next guy you bring out. Adamant Nature if you want him to hit harder, Jolly if you think you need his max Speed to ensure you get your Subs off. If you think his 328 Max speed is good enough without Salac Berry, Leichi Berry will allow it to KO a lot of things.

Watch for Sandstream.

Note: It can Endure over Sub, but with it's Speed I feel Subing is the best way to go. It also protects Dodrio from Statusers.

Last 2 slots are filler. This is really on for those that expect this sort of thing from Rattata. Lack of Sucker Punch means it will do nothing to Ghosts, but it could work the first time. Maybe.

Then again, Dodrio can do that set as well, Sandstream will ruin it though.
