Placeholder for...Starmie.

Choice Specs

Starmie @ Choice Specs
Ability: Natural Cure
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 Sp.ATK/ 252 SPD/ 4 HP
- Surf
- Thunderbolt/Grass Rope
- Ice Beam
- Psychic

Hit and run...just like all choice users. Thunderbolt hits all waters save Swampert-like ones and does it with 95 base power. Grass Rope on the other hand kills off Swampert, Quagsire, and Gastrodon, though its power can vary from pokemon to pokemon.

Bulky Starmie

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
Nature: Timid
EVs: 200 SPD/ 176 HP/ 132 Sp.ATK
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Recover

This is your counter to DDGyrados, Infernape, and Swords Dancing Garchomp. Switch into them and go for the OHKO if you predict a stay. If you think they'll switch recover off the damage. Rapid spin is an option, but really only due to the simple fact that there are not many rapid spinners at all and Stealth Rock is rampant. Most users omit Rapid Spin on their Starmie builds.

Please do note that this Starmie doesn't exactly handle Choice Garchomp well.
