problem with eon ticket

I dn't know if this has been posted before, but I sharked a porygon2 with eon ticket attachted, and I removed the item from it, I go to lillycove, slateport, and battle tower, no where do I get the option to travel anywhere else besides the above places, do I need to shark it so that I have the ticket, not shark a pokemon holding it? or is my game just flecked up?
